Overview

KMAT admit card 2026 download is expected to be released in first week of September 2026. The admit card will be released for registered candidates at KMAT India website, i.e. kmatindia.com. Candidates will be able to download them by using their login details i.e. Registration ID or Application Number and Password or DOB. Candidates with incomplete KMAT application form 2026 will not be issued admit cards.

Candidates can download their admit card for KMAT 2026 by following the steps mentioned below:

  1. Visit KMAT India website

  2. Click on the 'KMAT 2026 admit card' link on the homepage and login to the KMAT candidate portal

  3. Click on 'Download Admit Card' link 
  4. Enter log in details i.e. application number and date of birth

  5. The admit card will appear on the screen, verify the details printed on it for any mistakes/errors

  6. Download the admit card for Karnataka KMAT and take a printout

Q:   Do I need to preserve my KMAT admit card after the exam as well?
A: 

The KMAT admit cards will be available to download from the official website. Candidates can download the KMAT admit card multiple times but before downloading the admit card, candidates must make sure that there are no errors in the hall ticket. Once downloaded, candidates should take two or three coloured print outs of the KMAT hall ticket. Also, they must keep the admit card till the admission process is complete as they may be asked to present the KMAT admit card at the time of admission.

Q:   What items are prohibited during the KMAT exam?
A: 

Candidates appearing for the KMAT exam, must not use any electronic item including the watch, mobile phone, ipad, calculator, smartwatch, etc. during the KMAT exam. Any candidate found using such an item during the exam will be disqualified. Candidates can check time on the onscreen timer on their computer systems during the KMAT exam. Apart from electronic items, stationary other than a blue/black ball point pen and eatables are not allowed. Caps and headgear, goggles, etc. which cover the face in any way are also not allowed during the exam. 

Q:   Can I get a duplicate KMAT admit card?
A: 

Yes, students can get a duplicate copy of the KMAT admit card if they loose the original copy by following:

  1. Login again to candidate portal on KMAT India website and download admit card.
  2. Students can contact exam authorities and request them to issue a new admit card. 
  3. If candiadate looses admit card after exam, they will not be issued a duplicate admit card.

Q:   How long will the KMAT admit card be available for download?
A: 

KMAT admit card will be available for download until exam day. Direct link for downloading will be removed after exam is over. It is advised that candidates download their KMAT admit cards as soon as they are released so that they have enough time to check their test details. Candidates appearing for remote KMAT exam for the first time must carefully read instructions given on KMAT admit card and follow them diligently. 

Q:   Can I download a copy of the KMAT admit card after the exam?
A: 

No, students will not be allowed to download a copy of the KMAT admit card 2025 after the exam is over. KMAT admit can downloading link will only be live form the day of release till the exam day. 

The admit card may also not be accessible in the student dashboard after the exam or result announcement. Moreover, since the signed and stamped admit card will be considered valid for any activity post the exam, even if you can download a fresh copy after the exam day, it will be of no use. So, students should keep their KMAT admit card safe even after the exam. 

Q:   What is the exam mode of KMAT?
A: 

KMAT Karnataka exam will be held in the home-based remote proctored mode. Candidates can now take the exam from the safe environment of their homes. They do not have to choose the exam city and visit any KMAT exam centre in order to take the exams. They can fill the KMAT application form online and take the remote proctored online exam through the link given to the candidates on the exam day or as mentioned in their KMAT admit card.

The KMAT exam was earlier conducted in paper-based test mode. But due to the COVID-19 outbreak, in 2021 and 2022, the exam was conducted in internet-based test mode.

KMAT Karnataka 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Following are the KMAT 2026 exam day guidelines:

  • Do not start a new topic on the exam day or a day prior to the exam.
  • Complete the revision a day before the exam and sleep for at least eight hours to wake up with a fresh mind on the exam day.
  • Do not keep any electronic devices such as watches, cell phones, etc. during the exam.
  • Students should download the KMAT 2026 admit card and keep a photo ID with them during the exam.
  • They can take the exam from the safe environments of their homes. They do not have to visit the exam centre.

No, the KMAT exam will be conducted only in single shift. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the KPPGCA, exam conducting authority, has resolved to the remote-proctored mode. Even then, the exam will only be conducted in one shift on a single day. KMAT exam pattern has not changed much since past few years. KMAT exam was conducted in the internet-based test mode in the morning shift on September 7, 2025. The shift timings for both the courses, MBA and MCA will be the same.

Q:   What is the process to download the KMAT admit card?
A: 

KMAT admit card will be released online on official website of KMAT India. KMAT admit card for the exam will likely be released a week before the exam date. 

  • Go to KMAT India website
  • Click on Download Admit Card

  • Enter log in details i.e. application number and date of birth

  • The admit card will appear on the screen, verify the details printed on it for any mistakes/errors

Q:   What is the duration of the KMAT exam and can I change my exam slot?
A: 

The KMAT exam is held for two hours or 120 minutes. There is only one slot for the KMAT exam. KMAT exam does not have a sectional time limit. This means, that the candidates can solve the question paper with ease without worrying about the sectional timer. However, they must complete the question paper within the overall time limit. Candidates must take care of saving their answers at every step as the moment 120 minutes will get over, the test will automatically stop. There is no provision of changing the exam slot. And there is no provision to apply for the same. Candidates will have to appear for the exam at the time as mentioned on their KMAT Karnataka admit card. Candidates must make sure that they setlled on their seats and have logged in at least 15 minutes prior to the exam time. In case, candidates find any technical difficulty in logging in, they will have the time window to get it resolved. 

Q:   How can I crack KMAT in 3 months?
A: 

To crack the KMAT exam in three months, students need to make a KMAT preparation plan which covers the complete KMAT syllabus. They should ensure that they allocate enough time to different topics in the KMAT syllabus based on strengths and weaknesses and still have time for revision. Students should take full length and sectional mock tests for KMAT. This will help them improve their time management skill. To prepare better, students should try to analyse their performance in the mock tests and check the areas where the mistakes have been made. Students can spend more time on improving the weaknesses.

Q:   How can I select the KMAT exam centre while filling the KMAT application form?
A: 

During the KMAT registration process, candidates need to select their KMAT exam centre. The candidates can choose only one KMAT exam centre for the KMAT exam centre allotment. Candidates should choose the test centre according their preference, as it cannot be changed after the KMAT exam application form submission. Follow the steps mentioned below to know how to select the KMAT exam centre:

  • Register on the official website of KMAT.
  • Login to the candidate portal and fill the rest of the KMAT application form
  • Under the 'test centre' tab, choose the preferred test city.
  • Candidates can select only one test centre while filling out the KMAT exam application form 2025.
  • Fill up the entire KMAT application form, pay the application fee and finally and click 'Submit'.
Q:   Is the difficulty level of KMAT comparable to other MBA exams?
A: 

KMAT exam is typically considered to be easier as compared to the national-level MBA entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, etc. The KMAT exam has basic concepts, no negative marking along with balanced sections. 
Whereas, exams such as CAT, XAT, SNAP, CMAT, NMAT have high-level reasoning, data interpretation and negative markings. They are speed based exams and have slightly tricky questions. 

Q:   Can I attempt KMAT Karnataka mock tests on a mobile device?
A: 

Many websites and sources provide mobile-friendly KMAT mock tests. Candidates can check if their device and internet connection is suitable for KMAT mock test environment and experience. But to take the official mock test, students need to have a laptop or deskptop and good internet connection. The official mock test will also not work on tablets.

Last date to register for KMAT 2026 exam is yet to be announced. It will likely be in August 2026. The KMAT application form was released on April 2, 2026.

No, there is no fee concession on registration fee. The conducting body, KPPGCA, offers the same application fee for candidates belonging to the reserved categories, such as SC/ST as for the unreserved category. This year, the application fee for KMAT is INR 850, which includes GST.
