Karnataka PGCET counselling consists of several phases that require candidates to log in. KEA did not conduct a document verification round and started the option entry process online. Based on the options, KEA publishes the mock allotment results. All candidates are then allowed to edit options to be considered for the first round of Karnataka PGCET seat allotment.

Karnataka PGCET 2026 Counselling Process: Display of Seat Matrix

KEA receives the seat matrix before the commencement of the first round of seat allotment. Option entry will start after the publishing of the seat matrix. The details of the college wise, course wise and category wise seats available for allotment are published on the official website. The allotment of seats is done as per the seat matrix.

Karnataka PGCET 2026 Option Entry

Candidates who have completed their verification are eligible to appear in the option entry process. Candidates need to enter the course or college of their choice from among the available seats. Candidates should enter the options for all disciplines at once. There is no limit to the entry of options. The options recorded in the server on the last day will be frozen. Only the frozen options are considered for the allotment of seats. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the options entered by them.

KEA publishes the mock allotment status before the actual commencement of the first round of the seat allotment process. Candidates also have the facility to change their options after checking the mock allotment. This process is followed to familiarise candidates with the course and college allotted to them based on ranks

Karnataka PGCET Seat Allotment 2026

The seat matrix and options entered by candidates will be taken into consideration for the seat allotment process. Seats will be allotted to candidates based on merit and the priority of options entered by candidates.

Payment of Admission Fee & Reporting to Allotted College

Candidates who are satisfied with their allotted seats should download the challan from the KEA website and pay the required fees at the designated banks. After making the payment, the bank will provide the candidate with two copies: one for themselves and one for the college. 

Once the payment has been completed, candidates will be able to download the admission order one hour later. It is important for candidates to report to the college with the college copy of the challan, the admission order, and the original documents within the specified deadlines. Additionally, candidates must log in to the option entry portal and confirm to KEA that they have joined the college.

The steps for Karnataka PGCET 2026 option entry process is as follows:

1. Visit the official website of Karnataka Examinations Authority, i.e. cetonline.karnataka.gov.in
2. Click on the Admission tab followed by choosing PGCET from the drop-down menu
3. From the appearing window click on the link reading ‘PGCET First Round Option Entry Link’
4. Enter PGCET number followed by entering the case-sensitive captcha code appearing on the screen
5. Click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Candidates must use any of the following browsers for web option entry:

Candidates must use a desktop with a minimum screen resolution of 1024 X 768 for best experience.
