Considering the trends from the last two years, TANCET registration starts in the last week of January. The same was expected this year. Candidates can expect the exam details to release anytime soon.
Anna University is yet to release the TANCET 2022 notification. For the past two years, TANCET exam details are being released in late January. Candidates aiming for MBA admissions in Tamil Nadu have been eagerly waiting for the exam dates and application form to release. With the declaration of TANCET exam dates, aspirants can plan their preparation till the last minute.
Lately, aspirants have been preparing with anxiety for an exam date that might not suit their preparation timeline. This has resulted in lower effectiveness and efficiency in TANCET preparation. Nearly 40,000 candidates appear for the TANCET exam every year. A lesser efficiency while preparing can lead to a loss of chance of TN MBA MCA admission.
Anna University, on behalf of DTE Chennai, conducts the exam every year for PG professional course admission in Tamil Nadu. The varsity has not communicated anything related to the release of the exam.
Earlier, after the end of January 2022, candidates were expecting the release of the TANCET application form in the first week of February. However, it seems that the exam will be delayed this year. With the COVID-19 pandemic easing out several parts of the country, the registrations can start within a week.
TANCET Registration Fees 2022
Lately, Anna University had made the TANCET website live. However, there are no updates on the website yet. The web portal will be updated with the release of exam details. The application form for TANCET 2022 will be made available in an online mode. Considering the past year’s trends, candidates would be required to pay the following fee based on their category
- INR 600 for unreserved category candidates
- INR 300 for reserved category candidates

As per the trends over the past five years, most of the times, the application form was released in January. However, Anna University has also released the forms in April and May. Thus, candidates can expect the application form anytime soon.
Another thing to note is the gap between the registration commencement date and the exam date. When the forms were released in January, the exam date was set with a gap of 50-60 days. However, when the application form was released in April and May, the gap between the registration start date and exam date was reduced to less than 45 days.
Therefore, aspirants preparing for the exam must prepare a study plan with at least 10 days left with them on a safer side.
