The REAP merit list is prepared following various priority and admission criteria as described below:
REAP 2026 Rank and Priority for Admission in BE/BTech course:
REAP 2026 rank list will be prepared based on the rank obtained in JEE Main 2026 or percentile / percentage in 12th / Diploma considering the priority as shown below in the table:
| Basis of admissions |
Priority |
|---|---|
| JEE Main 2026 rank |
Candidates with JEE Main 2026 percentile 20 and above shall be given first priority in the REAP merit list. The candidates with JEE Main 2026 percentile less then 20 will be included in priority 2 or 3. |
| Percentile obtained in class 12th |
The second priority will be given to the class 12 percentile marks. Candidates who are obtained in priority 1, will not be considered here. |
| Percentage obtained in DVoc in Engineering & Technology approved courses by the state government. |
The candidates with DVoc qualifications will be given third priority while preparing the REAP merit list. |
Merit and Priority for admission in first year of BArch:
REAP 2026 rank list for BArch course is prepared based on the score obtained in NATA 2026 / JEE Main paper 2A and percentile / percentage in 12th / Diploma with equal weightage (thus called “weighted score”) and considering the priority as shown below in the table:
| Basis of admissions |
Priority |
|---|---|
| Percentile obtained in Class 12 (50% weightage) + Higher score of NATA or JEE Main paper 2A (50% weightage) |
Candidates with JEE Main 2026 paper 2A or NATA score will be given first priority while preparing the merit list. |

The second priority will be given to the candidates with no JEE Main 2026 paper 2A or NATA score and who have a diploma as their qualification while preparing the merit list. |
Tie-breaking: In case of a tie between the percentiles / percentage / marks / weighted scores of candidates, the higher rank would be assigned to the candidate in the following pattern:
- Candidates having a higher age will be given a higher merit / rank.
- Thereafter the candidate who has applied earlier will be given a higher merit / rank.
Commonly asked questions
- Candidates with JEE Main percentile 20 and above are given first priority in the REAP merit list. Then, candidates with JEE Main percentile less than 20 are considered.
- Second priority will be given to the class 12 marks.
- Candidates with DVoc qualifications will be given third priority
In cases where two or more candidates get same rank in REAP merit list, tie will be resolved by considering following:
- Candidates having a higher age will be given a higher merit / rank.
- Thereafter candidate who has applied earlier will be given a higher merit / rank.
Candidates who get a seat via the REAP counselling process are issued a provisional seat allotment letter that they can check from the REAP web portal.
