JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 (BArch/BPlan) result session 1 will be announced soon by the NTA. Here's how to check your JEE Main scorecard on the official website. The result of JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 session 1 is made available online on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in and ntaresults.nic.in. To check JEE Main paper 2 result 2026, candidates need to login on the website using their application number and password.

The NTA conducted the JEE Main 2026 paper 2 session 1 exam on January 29. For candidates who will appear in both sessions of JEE Main 2026, the final result will be prepared based on the normalised scores of both attempts. For those candidates who appear in JEE Main in either of the sessions, scores of that particular attempt will be released.

Candidates can check their JEE Main ranks with their JEE Main session 2 scorecard. To check their ranks, candidates have to download the scorecard from their respective logins.

  1. Register for JoSAA counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.

JEE Main result and scorecard are the same thing. After login to the website for checking their JEE Main result, students will SEE their scorecards with details of the percentile scores secured by them in each subject, aggregate percentile score, All India Rank and cutoff. Candidates need to download and take its printout. JEE Main result/scorecard is an important document and is required for counselling and admission process.

  • Click on JEE Main Paper 2 result 2026 link

  • NTA will not send any hard copy of JEE Main result paper 2 or rank card by post and candidates can download their result through their JEE Main 2026 applicant account only
  • The JEE Main result 2026 mentions compiled scores of session 1 (if candidates appeared for both sessions). This means NTA will consider the best of raw scores for JEE Main from both attempts to prepare JEE Main Merit List 2026
  • The candidates will be given the All India Rank (AIR) only after the announcement of JEE Main Result Paper 2 for the April session
  • The AIR list for JEE Main 2026 will be prepared on basis of normalised scores of both sessions

Q:   What is CRL in JEE Main result?
A: 
CRL stands for the Common Rank List. NTA releases the cutoff in several categories one of which is CRL. Basically, CRL means unreserved category. Candidates belonging to unreserved category need to have JEE Main cutoff equal to or more than the CRL cutoff. The other categories for which cutoff is released are Gen-EWS, Open-PwD, OBC-NCL, SC and ST.
Q:   What details will be printed on JEE Main final result?
A: 

Candidates will be able to check these details on the JEE Main scorecard:

JEE Main Application Number, JEE Main Roll Number, Name & Date of Birth, Qualifying Status, All India Rank secured by a candidate in the exam, category-wise All India Rank (AIR) of the Candidate, Subject-wise scores, aggregate score in all three subjects of both sessions. You can download your Joint Entrance Examination-Main Result from the official website. The official website is jeemain.nta.nic.in. Note that, there is no provision to re-evaluate/re-check JEE Main result.

Q:   If a candidate has not participated in JoSAA counselling, will he/she be eligible to take part in CSAB counselling?
A: 

Yes, candidates who do not participate in the JoSAA counselling are eligible to participate in the CSAB counselling. Candidates must complete the CSAB counselling registration using JEE Main application number. After the registration process, the exam authorities will commence the document verification process. 

Q:   When will CSAB counselling start?
A: 

The CSAB counselling is conducted after the completion of JoSAA. The dates of CSAB is announced after the last round JoSAA counselling at csab.nic.in. The counselling process will begin with the CSAB NEUT round, followed by the special round, and finally the supernumerary round. The schedule for the CSAB NEUT round, as well as the special and supernumerary rounds will differ.

JEE Main Paper 2 Result 2026 - Tie Breaking Rule

In case of tie-in JEE Main scores for paper 2, the rank list for BArch and BPlan will be prepared as under –

  • The candidate with higher marks in the Mathematics section will be ranked higher
  • The candidate will higher marks Aptitude Test will be ranked higher
  • The candidate with higher marks in Drawing Test will be ranked higher
  • Fourthly, candidates having a lesser number of negative responses in the paper

JEE Main 2026 Rank List for B.Arch/B.Plan

The rank list of JEE Main 2026 paper 2 will be prepared by considering the best of two scores. For candidates who will appear in both January and April sessions, their rank list will be prepared by taking the highest score of two attempts while for candidates who have appeared only in one attempt, their rank list will be prepared taking the score of that particular attempt. 

The score of candidates in JEE Main Paper 2 result is in the form of percentiles. The percentile scores are obtained after normalization. Normalization is done in order to remove any possible parity in the difficulty level of the paper is held in two shifts. The NTA will release a separate rank list for different categories of candidates in the form of toppers.

To participate in the JEE Main counselling, candidates will need to upload the following documents at the time of JoSAA registration. Class 10 mark sheet/certificate, Class 12 Certificate of category (if applicable), PwD Certificate (if applicable). After the seat allotment, while reporting to the institute, candidates will also need to submit documents like JoSAA seat allotment letter, JEE Main/Advanced admit card, Gap Certificate (if gap after class 12).

Q:   What is Floating option in JoSAA counselling?

Float option in JoSAA means candidates want to be considered in further rounds of counselling and are open to better allotment of any course and in any college.

Yes, candidates can participate in JEE Main counselling even if they do not meet the cutoff. Scoring above JEE Main cutoff is required only when candidates wish to appear in JEE Advanced for admission to IITs. Those candidates who wish to take admission in NITs, IIITs or other GFTIs can take part in JEE Main counselling conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority JoSAA for admissions.
Q:   What is JEE Mains 2023 cutoff for General Category?
A: 
The general category JEE Main 2023 cutoff is 90.7788642. Hence, candidates belonging to general category need to have a minimum 90.7788642 NTA score to appear in JEE Advanced. The cutoff for general category has been raised in 2023 which was 88.4121383 in the year 2022. NTA has also raise the JEE Main cutoff for all other categories in 2023 as compared to 2022.

JEE Main Counselling 2026 for BArch and BPlan

The counselling for admission to BArch and BPlan courses offered by NITs will be organised by JoSAA. The JoSAA counselling schedule will be released after the announcement of JEE Mains 2026 result session 2. JoSAA 2026 counselling registration will start tentatively in June. Candidates who want to get admission in BArch or BPlan courses at NITs need to register for the JoSAA counselling. The allotment of seats will be done based on the All India Rank obtained in JEE Main paper 2 result 2026.

NMIT Bangalore reserves 2% seats for candidates with JEE Main score of at least 75. JEE category aspirants are eigible for Merit Scholarship seats, provided they score a minimum of 85 NTA score and not less than 80% aggregate in PCM in Class 12. The ranking is based on JEE Main NTA score.

No, JEE Main is not required to take admission in BTech at NMAM Institute of Technology, NITTE University. The college accepts NUCAT scores for BTech admissions. NUCAT is conducted by the institute itself. It has MCQ type questions with no negative marking.

Yes, JEE Main is enough for HVPM College of Engineering & Technology BTech admissions. The college accepts students through an entrance basis only. Hence, a student have either JEE Main or MHTCET score is eligible. The basic eligibility must also be fulfilled.
