Tweet by HRD Minister:

The decision by the MHRD to reveal the status (postponed/cancelled) has been taken after several requests from students to postpone JEE Main 2020 exam. The aspirants have raised their concerns via social media Twitter and emails. Earlier, #PostponeJEE Main was trending and today #RIPNTA is trending on social media. Students also gave examples of several other exams that got cancelled/postponed during COVID-19 lockdown and outbreak.

The JEE Main 2020 exam was scheduled to be held on July 18-23 in online computer-based mode. The JEE Main 2020 admit card is likely to be released by NTA 15 days prior to the entrance test.

JEE Main is conducted for the students seeking admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs around the country. Candidates who qualify the JEE Main 2020 and are among the top 2.5 lakh score holders become eligible for JEE Advanced to get admission in various undergraduate engineering programmes offered by IITs in India.

There is no decided cutoff for JEE Main for admission in HKBK College of Engineering. The BTech admission in HKBK is based on JEE merit and available seats. However, for candidates who get a decent percentile, there is a benefit in their favor.
