Q. What was your JEE Main preparation strategy? Which subject did you focus on more and why?

A. I had planned my studies in a systematic way. Each year lakhs of students sit for this exam. So, one’s preparation has to be solid in order to ace this. I used to study for over 12 hours a day. Yes, it was not easy but this exam is also not easy. I worked on my weakness as well. Earlier, I had not studied from NCERT, this time I consulted them. My weak spot was Physics, so I concentrated on it. I also spent extra time studying Biology.

Q: Which books did you refer to while preparing for the JEE Main 2021 exam?

A.After I decided to take the exam, I looked for books that would help. There were NCERT books as well as study material that was given by my coaching institute.

Q. What is your future plan?

A. I know it might sound strange that after clearing this exam I would want to pursue higher studies in Mathematics. I want to pursue a BSc in Mathematics from IISC Bangalore.

Q. What will be your message to future JEE aspirants?

A. The key to clearing this exam is simple: Study well, concentrate on NCERT books and study every day for 12-14 hours. On the exam day, relax, have a good sleep the night before the exam.

Yes, many Engineering colleges in Mumbai accept JEE Main scores under the All India quota. JEE Main seats are limited in number compared to MHT CET seats. Maharashtra state candidates mostly use MHT CET scores, while candidates from other states can apply using JEE Main.
