Several states have started accepting JEE Main score for the admission of engineering aspirants to the government and private colleges. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts Joint Entrance Examination Main, commonly known as JEE Main every year. It is an online test wherein two papers are conducted separately, Paper 1 for BE/BTech, further Paper 2 is again divided into two parts - Paper 2A for BArch and Paper 2B for BPlanning. States accepting JEE Mains score for BTech admission conducts counselling to admit the eligible candidates into the participating institutes. States accepting JEE Mains Score for BTech Admissions; No entrance exams for 2021

As of now, no entrance exam will be conducted by Bihar, Delhi, Chandigarh, Jharkhand, Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh for admission to engineering programme. Among these states, Uttar Pradesh is new in the row. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, formerly Uttar Pradesh Technical University is going to provide admission into the participating institutes based on JEE Main merit from 2021 onwards.

BTech Admission based on JEE Main 2021 Scorecard

For admission to the BTech programme through JEE Main, candidates have to contest and qualify the examination. After result declaration, Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts counselling for the candidates who meet JEE Main cutoff. Haryana BTech admission through JEE Main

Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) will conduct the counselling for BTech admission. Out of the total seats, 85% seats are reserved for Haryana candidates and the remaining 15% seats are reserved for other state candidates.

BTech admission in Bihar through JEE Main

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) is the admission authority, which is admitting candidates to BTech programme through JEE Main from 2019. Candidates seeking admission to engineering colleges in Bihar have to apply separately for the state counselling by filling the BCECE application form.

BTech admission through JEE Main 2021 in Uttar Pradesh

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow will conduct the counselling based on JEE Main score. The eligible candidates have to fill UPSEE application form so that they can participate in the admission process.

BTech admission in Chandigarh through JEE Main

In Chandigarh, Joint Admission Committee (JAC) is responsible for providing admission to BTech programme. The eligible candidates can fill the application form and then participate JAC Chandigarh counselling for admission.

Jharkhand BTech admission through JEE Main

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) conducts BTech admission in Jharkhand based on the merit of JEE Main. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can submit JCECEB application form to participate in the counselling.

BTech admission through JEE Main in Delhi

Candidates seeking admission to the engineering colleges in Delhi have to apply for JAC Delhi counselling. Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Committee, Delhi conducts the counselling wherein 85% seats are reserved for the Delhi region candidates while rest of the 15% seats are for other state candidates.

BTech admission in Madhya Pradesh through JEE Main

The admission to engineering colleges in Madhya Pradesh will be conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh. DTE will provide admission to BTech programme based on JEE Main result and Class 12 marks.

Maharashtra BTech admission through JEE Main

In Maharashtra, admission to 15% seats of private colleges are done through JEE Main. Candidates have to apply by submitting the application form.

BTech admission in Odisha through JEE Main

The admission authority in Odisha will admit candidates based on JEE Main scorecard. If the seats remain vacant then Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board conducts special OJEE for admission to the BTech programme in the private and government colleges. Apart from this, candidates who does not appear in JEE Main due to any reason can also participate in special OJEE.

BTech admission through JEE Main 2021 in Rajasthan

IN Rajasthan, the admission to BE/BTech are done through Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) based on JEE Main and Class 12 marks. Centre for Electronic Governance, Jaipur releases REAP application form so that eligible candidates can apply for admission.

BTech admission in Punjab through JEE Main

I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar conducts the counselling for admission to BE/BTech programme based on merit of JEE Main and Class 12. If seats remain vacant, candidates will be offered admission based on marks secured in Class 12.

Uttarakhand BTech admission through JEE Main 

Uttarakhand Technical University will conduct BTech admission process based on JEE Main score. Candidates have to fill the application form and provide their seat preference for admission.

West Bengal BTech admission through JEE Main

In private colleges, 15% seats are reserved for the intake candidates based on JEE Main merit. Candidates have to apply for the counselling to participate in the admission process.
