JEE Mains is one of the most important and valuable engineering entrance exams. For students preparing for JEE 2020 to be held from January 6-10, here are some tips that can help you sail through the last 20 days:

Preparation ideas:

  1. Don't depend fully on coaching for your result. The main role in getting a good score is played by our own selves. We should focus on self-study.
  2. As for last week before the exam, we can't study full syllabus line to line, so focus on those topics that have more weightage in the exam.
  3. Try to solve all the previous years’ question papers up to five years so that you will get an idea of the type of questions asked.
  4. Try to understand the concepts instead of solving each question so that you can cover more topics in lesser time.

Time management:

  1. Time is the most valuable thing during the exam, hence don't waste your time on the questions which you don’t understand. Just mark them and go ahead.
  2. Make targets to complete a particular subject in a fixed time.
  3. Read all the questions carefully once so that you do not have to read them again and again. This will definitely save your time.
  4. Start with chemistry and try to complete it within 30 minutes.

Scoring topics:

  1. Chemistry is a subject that plays a big role in the result. So try to score more in chemistry.
  2. Try to be accurate and correct while attempting a question.
  3. After solving the previous year’s question papers, you will get to know which topics are important and how much time you have to give them for preparing.

Revision plans:

  1. While studying, note down important formulas and points so that you can read them quickly in the last time and this quick revision will help you a lot.
  2. Don’t go for full book reading during revision.
  3. Make some useful tricks to remember the concepts because that way you can easily answer the related questions.

Managing 12th along with JEE

  1. Both JEE Mains and 12th boards require physics, chemistry and mathematics. You just have to put on a little extra effort on the language subjects.
  2. 12th score is not much important nowadays. Just focus on getting a respectable score in Class 12th and put your main target onto clearing the JEE Mains.

Yes, you can get admission to VNIT Nagpur with 95.55 percentile in JEE Main under the EWS category (Maharashtra home state) but your course options might be limited or into less competitive or core branches.

No, JEE Main ranks are not accepted for core engineering seat allotments at this campus. Admission to all BTech tracks is handled exclusively through the university's own entrance test ranks. VIT Bhopal University requires all engineering aspirants to register for and clear the VITEEE exam to secure

Sorry, but even under the SC category, securing a seat in an NIT with a JEE Main CRL rank of 632000 is not possible.

The rank needed for admission to the BTech course would depend on the course, round and branch you are applying for. For the General HS category, the Round 2 cutoff was 770798 for the BTech CSE course. So, this category students need a rank of at least 770798 to be considered eligible for admission.

Yes, several colleges convert a good JEE Main percentile directly into a fee waiver. Graphic Era's GECET-linked scholarships and UPES's merit scholarships can cut your fees by up to 50%. This makes originally expensive private colleges much more affordable for high scorers, so it's worth applying ev

No, JEE Main is not required to get admission in BTech at Rajalakshmi Engineering College. Admissions under the government quota rely primarily on Class 12 marks through TNEA counseling. However, JEE Main scores may be considered for admission.

Yes, most Coimbatore colleges, including PSG Tech, Karunya, and Kumaraguru, primarily admit students through TNEA counselling, which is based on Class 12 merit rather than JEE Main. JEE Main is mainly relevant if you're targeting government institutes like NITs. So a strong Class 12 score alone can

No, I don't think you can get into B.Tech EEE at Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad with JEE Main rank of 5,30,000 as General, non-UP domicile candidate. Typically, closing rank for EEE close much earlier around 3,00,00.

Absolutely. Unlike government colleges with very tight cutoffs, most private engineering colleges in UP admit students across a wide score range, and several also accept students without a JEE Main score at all. Your branch choice and college reputation still matter, but private colleges generally o

No, JEE Main is not mandatory for BTech admission to SVSU Meerut. While JEE Main scores are accepted for BTech application, students can qualify directly through the university's SNET examination or Class 12 merit.
