Commonly asked questions
The official BITSAT 2026 exam date is yet to be announced. However, the first session is expected to held in May 2026 and the second session in June 2026. Students are eligible to attempt one of both sessions of the exam. The examination will be held as a computer-based test.
The students will be given 3 hours to complete their BITSAT exam. No extra time will be allotted to the students to complete their paper. All 130 questions have to be answered within the given time, and if there is still some time left then the students will be able to allowed to attempt 12 additional questions.
In the BITSAT exam, the students will have to attempt a total of 130 objective multiple-choice questions. Each question will have four options, and the correct one has to be selected. If all questions are attempted before the given duration, then an additional 12 questions will be given to the students to solve for extra marks.

BITSAT 2022 paper for shift 1 was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. Most students found Mathematics to be comparatively more difficult than Physics and Chemistry. Another aspirant named Subham said that the BITSAT was of a moderate level. The Mathematics section of BITSAT was tougher than the JEE Main Mathematics paper. Physics and Chemistry could be attempted easily within the given timeline.
Abhisekh Singh said that all the subjects (PCM), including English and Logical Reasoning, were easy compared to JEE Main. The questions could be easily completed and did not take much time.
