What is BITSAT?
Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, conducts the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) to select students for admission into the undergraduate engineering courses (BE) at its three campuses located at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. Admissions are offered annually to candidates into the BE, BPharm and MSc programmes after qualifying for the admission test. The entrance exam is conducted online, and around 3 lakh students apply for it every year. However, the authorities also accept direct admissions for board toppers who meet the required eligibility criteria.

BITSAT 2026 Application Form

BITSAT 2026 application form will be released at bitsadmission.com. While filling out the BITSAT application form, the students will have to provide their personal, academic and contact details and upload their documents. The preferred exam centres also have to be selected. BITSAT application fee has to be paid online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. Students can fill out separate forms for the two exam sessions.
- Students will have to go to bitsadmission.com and click on the registration link. For registration, the students will have to enter their email address and mobile number.
- Next, they will have to fill out their details in the application form. All of the submitted information has to be correct. The exam cities have to be selected according to their preference.
- Students will have to upload their photograph and signature in the application form. The documents have to be according to the official notification. If the specifications do not match, the document will not be uploaded.
- BITSAT application fee has to be paid through net banking, credit card or debit card. Offline payments will not be accepted.
- Finally, the students have to submit the application form before the final date. Students should carefully check their details before submission.
BITSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The official BITSAT 2026 eligibility criteria will be available soon. All students should meet the criteria for admission.
First Degree programmes of BITS except BPharm (Hons): Students should have passed the 12th standard examination from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. They must have adequate proficiency in English. A minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects is needed.
BPharm (Hons): Should have passed the 12th standard examination from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Students must have adequate proficiency in English. However, students with PCMB in Class 12 can also apply for the Pharmacy programme at BITS campuses. They should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and Maths, if they are PCMB students) subjects with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (and Maths, if they are PCMB students) subjects.
Additional Important Eligibility Criteria
- Only students who are appearing for the 12th examination in 2026 or have passed in 2023 are eligible to appear for the exam.
- Students who have passed their Class 12 examination in 2022 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT.
- If the student has attempted the 12th standard or its equivalent, more than once, then only his/her latest performance will be considered, provided this attempt had been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.
- Students who are presently studying in any of the BITS campuses will not be eligible.
- Admissions will be merit-based.
- However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the 12th standard board exam, as mentioned above.

BITS Pilani is expected to release the BITSAT application form tentatively in the second week of January 2026. Students will be able to apply for one or both sessions of the exam. All applications have to be submitted before the final date.
While filling the application form, the students will have to pay the required fee. The BITSAT application fee is different for each category and the number of sessions that the students are going to attempt. For male students, the application fee is INR 3500 (1ST session) and INR 5,500 (both sessions). Female students have to pay INR 3000 (1st session) and INR 4,500 (both session).
Students will have to upload their scanned passport-size photograph and signature in the BITSAT application form. The documents have to be scanned and sized according to the specifications that are mentioned by the authorities. If the documents are not scanned correctly, it will be not uploaded in the form.

Yes. The students will be negatively marked if they answer incorrectly in the BITSAT exam. For every wrong answer, one mark will be deducted. Therefore, the students are advised to carefully check and attempt the questions, only if they are sure of the answer.
