BITSAT 2026: Iteration II (Out), Counselling, Admission

BITS Admission Test (BITSAT) is the entrance examination conducted by BITS Pilani for admission to First Degree (UG) programes. Through this exam, students can apply for engineering, pharmacy and integrated MSc programmes offered at the Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses.

Candidates can appear in up to two sessions in the same admission cycle. If a candidate appears in both sessions, the higher score is considered for admission. This is a completely merit-based exam that offers no reservation benefits whatsoever.

The BITSAT 2026 counselling process is currently underway. Candidates who qualified in the entrance examination and submitted their programme preferences are being considered for admission through multiple counselling iterations. Seat allotment is based on the BITSAT score, preferences filled by the candidate and seat availability.

Documents Required for Counselling

Candidates should keep the following documents ready for admission:

• BITSAT 2026 scorecard

• Class 10 mark sheet and certificate

• Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate

• Transfer Certificate (TC)

• Migration Certificate (if applicable)

• Recent passport-size photographs

• Valid photo identity proof

• Category or other supporting certificates, wherever applicable

• Admission fee payment receipt

Seat Allotment

BITS Pilani conducts the admission process through multiple counselling iterations. In each round, candidates may:

• Receive a fresh seat allotment.

• Get an upgraded programme or campus.

• Be placed on the waiting list if a seat is not available.

Candidates who receive a seat offer must complete the admission formalities within the specified deadline. Failure to pay the admission fee or submit the required documents may result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.

Reporting to the Allotted Campus

After accepting the allotted seat, candidates must report to the respective BITS campus on the scheduled date with all the original documents. The institute verifies the documents before confirming admission.

BITS Pilani prepares the BITSAT 2026 cutoff to select students for admission. It will signify the minimum scores needed for admission to the accepting colleges. While preparing the cutoff, the authorities will consider various factors related to the examination and admission process, i.e., previous years' cutoff trends, difficulty level of the entrance exam, total number of candidates applying, number of qualified candidates, total number of available seats, etc. It is to be noted that the BITSAT cutoff 2026 will be different for every course and college.

Previous Year’s Cut Off Trends

Candidates can use previous years’ admission scores to estimate their chances of getting a seat in their preferred programme. Generally, Computer Science records the highest cut off, followed by Electronics programmes, while Mechanical, Chemical and Civil Engineering have comparatively lower closing scores. BITSAT 2025 Cutoff

Candidates can check their obtained scores immediately after the BITSAT exam concludes. Moderated scores are released through the BITSAT result only. The BITSAT 2026 result for session 2 will be available as a scorecard. To download the results, candidates have to log in with their application number and password. If candidates attempt both exam sessions, the best of two will be considered for admission.

• Now, find the scorecard link.
• After clicking the link, candidates can check the result login. Enter the application number and password.
• Under the login, candidates can check their result.
• Download the BITSAT scorecard and take its print.

The BITSAT syllabus and exam pattern is important to prepare thoroughly for the next admission cycle. BITS Pilani prescribes the BITSAT exam pattern and syllabus through the official information brochure.

BITSAT 2026 Exam Pattern

BITSAT is conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The paper consists of multiple-choice questions and tests a candidate’s knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning.  

*Candidates who complete all 130 questions within the allotted time are offered 'Bonus Questions'.

BITSAT 2026 Syllabus

Candidates preparing for the next BITSAT examination can follow these tips:

• Complete the NCERT syllabus before referring to advanced books.

• Prepare a subject-wise timetable and revise regularly.

• Focus on improving speed and accuracy.

• Solve BITSAT sample papers and attempt full-length mock tests.

• Analyse mistakes after every mock test and work on weak topics.

• Revise important formulas, reactions and concepts regularly.

Although the application process for this year has ended, candidates planning to appear in the next admission cycle should understand the BITSAT eligibility criteria and registration process. BITS Pilani releases the eligibility criteria and application guidelines through the official admission brochure before registrations begin every year. BITSAT Application 2026

The BITSAT 2026 registration process has been completed. Candidates submitted their applications online through the official BITS Pilani admission portal. The application process included registration, form filling, document upload, fee payment and submission of programme preferences.  

BITSAT 2026 Application Fee

Candidates who initially applied only for Session 1 were also given an opportunity to register for Session 2 by paying the additional fee within the specified dates. The application fee was non-refundable and had to be paid online.

• Complete the registration using a valid email ID and mobile number.

• Fill in personal, academic and communication details.

• Upload the required photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

• Pay the application fee online.

• Review all details carefully before submitting the form.

• Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

The BITSAT 2026 admit card has already been released, and the examination has been completed. Candidates should keep a copy of their admit card safely as it is required during admission for document verification purposes.

• Go to admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in
• Click on the BITSAT hall ticket link.
• Use your application number and password to log in.
• The hall ticket has to be downloaded and printed out.

BITSAT 2026 City Allotment & Slot Booking

Through the BITSAT 2026 city allotment, candidates can check and confirm where their exam will be held. Following this, BITS Pilani conducted a separate slot booking process. Applicants were able to choose their preferred exam date and slot from the available options. The allotted test centre details were then mentioned on the admit card. Candidates have to check the admit card to know the complete exam centre address.
