KIITEE Result 2026 - Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) will announce the KIITEE 2026 result on the website, kiitee.kiit.ac.in. Candidates who appear for the KIITEE exam will be able to check their performance through the results. To check the KIITEE results, candidates have to download their application number and password. KIITEE Result 2026 Tie Breaking Resolution

If two or more candidates get equal marks in the KIITEE exam, the inter-se merit of such students will be determined as mentioned below.

  • B.Tech (4 Years), B.Sc (Computer Science): Based on marks obtained in Mathematics, then in Physics and then by age (preference to older candidates).  
  • B.Arch: Based on marks obtained in NATA.  
  • BTech (LE): Based on marks obtained in Mathematics, then in Basic Electrical Engineering, and then by age. (Preference to the older candidate).  
  • BSc Nursing: Based on marks obtained in Biology, then in Chemistry and then by age (Preference to the older candidate).  
  • BBA / BCA/bachelor's in design (Fashion/Textile)/bachelor's in film & Television Production /BA.LLB/BBA LLB/B.Sc.LLB/ Master of Mass Communication (Integrated): Based on Marks obtained in Mathematical Ability, then in Analytical Ability. Then in English and then by age. (Preference to the older candidate).  
  • BA Economics (Hons), B.A Sociology (Hons), BA English (Hons), BCom: Preference to Older Candidates.  
  • Biotechnology- Dual Degree (B.Tech/M.Tech)(5 years): Based on marks obtained in Biology, then in Chemistry and then by age (preference to the older candidate).  
  • MCA/ MCA(LE): Based on the marks obtained in Computer Awareness, then Mathematics and then by age (Preference to the older candidate).  
  • M.Tech, M.Sc (Computer Science), MA in Economics, MA in Sociology, MA in English, M.Com, Master of Mass Communication(2Years): Preference is given to older candidates.  
  • M.Sc. (Applied Microbiology/Biotechnology): Based on marks obtained in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and then by age. (Preference to older candidates).  
  • LLM: Preference is given to older candidates.

Q:   What is the minimum qualifying mark for KIITEE?
A: 

The qualifying marks for the KIITEE are different for each stream or discipline. Candidates securing the minimum qualifying mark will be eligible for further admission. 

  • For BTech programmes of four years duration, the applicant must have passed 10+2 in 2024 or 2025 or must be appearing in the final year examination. The minimum qualifying mark for BTech admission is 60% in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. 

  • BTech and MTech Biotechnology's minimum qualifying mark is 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. 

  • For MTech courses, B.E or BTech or any equivalent specialisation in a relevant engineering and technology discipline with a first-class or equivalent CGPA or first-class MCA/first-class MSc are required.

Q:   What is KIITEE marking scheme?
A: 

The KIITEE marking scheme follows a system that rewards accuracy and penalizes incorrect answers:

  • Marks per correct answer: 4 marks are awarded for each question you answer correctly.
  • Negative marking: There is negative marking, so you will be deducted 1 mark for every question you answer incorrectly. This means strategically avoiding a question you are unsure about can be beneficial.
  • Marks for unattempted questions: No marks are awarded or deducted for questions you leave blank. There's no penalty for not attempting a question.

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology conducts the KIITEE counselling in online mode for all the qualified candidates only. The KIITEE counselling involves choice filling, seat allotment, document veriifcation and reporting to the institute. Admission to variouos courses is based on their KIITEE merit list. The authority will announce the KIITEE counselling schedule phase-wise. Those who seek admission to the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) must report to the institute with all the mandatory documents.

Q:   Does KIIT refund the counselling fee?
A: 

As per the KIITEE refund rules on the website,

  • The total fees will be refunded, excluding the counselling registration fees of Rs.10,000/-, anytime after admission, but before reporting.
  • No refund will be allowed after the commencement of the course.
  • In all cases where the student has been admitted to the course after the commencement of classes through the waiting list or otherwise, their case will be considered as after the commencement of the course.
  • In case of Foreign student candidates, the refund will be made in accordance with Foreign Exchange Regulations.

Refund will be made only after the candidate has surrendered the ID card, Original Fee Receipt, Allotment letter, Fee estimate letter and the dues clearance certificate along with the hard copy of the refund application form generated after applying online. 

Q:   What is the counselling fee for KIITEE 2026?
A: 

The KIITEE counselling fee is required to be paid at the time of admission. Candidates can pay the amount as a Demand Draft of Rs. 75,000/- which includes the Counselling Registration fees of Rs.10,000 (Non Refundable) in favor of KIIT, Payable at Bhubaneswar. Balance fee as per the fee structure is to be paid on the day of reporting.

Yes, the KIITEE registrations for the academic year 2026 are open for KIIT School Of Public Health MHA admissions. Currently, the first phase of KIITEE registrations is ongoing at KIIT Deemed to be University. The last date to apply for the first session of KIITEE 2026 is scheduled on April 8th.

The KIITEE 2026 exam will be held for 480 marks. The exam will have 120 questions for B.Tech, and each question will be worth 4 marks. Students have to be careful as there is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
