Why NLU Delhi Is Different From Other NLUs
NLU Delhi occupies a unique position among India's national law schools. It runs its own dedicated entrance test rather than joining the common CLAT Consortium that most other NLUs use. This means a CLAT score cannot secure a seat at NLU Delhi. An AILET NLU Delhi score has no value anywhere else. The two systems don't overlap. No, AILET Entrance Exam cutoff is released separately for the various categories. For instance, the cut-off is available for categories like Open, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PH categories. Note that open category candidates will not be considered for admission under reserved category seats. However, candidates belonging to reserved category will be considered for admission under both open and the reserved category they belong to. To be considered for admission under reserved category, the candidate must furnish the required category certificates. However, any candidate who is found using counterfeit documents can be disqualified at any stage of the admission process.

AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) is conducted once a year. It is held in December for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs.
The AILET counselling fee of INR 30,000 (INR for reserved category candidates) will be refunded only to candidates who have successfully registered for the counselling and paid the fee but who could not find a place in the merit list. The refund will be initiated by NLU Delhi to the source on completion of the admission process, whichever is earlier.

No, candidates were not allowed to appear for the examination without a valid photo ID. Candidates were advised to keep the following three things ready with them, a day before the examination; a valid photo ID proof, AILET admit card, and a recent passport-sized photograph. These were the mandatory documents to be produced during entry to the AILET exam centre. The valid photo identity card which would be allowed at the AILET 2027 exam centre include Aadhaar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter Id. The admit card should also have the passport and postcard-sized photographs pasted on it.
