SNAP Photo & Signature Specifications
As per the official website, the specifications required while uploading a photograph and signature in SNAP form 2026 are as follows:
Photograph Specifications
- Use a recent passport-size photo with a clear background.
- Avoid selfies or scanned copies of old photographs.
- Photo must not be older than 3 to 6 months.
- Background must be plain white.
- Photo must be a close-up of the face, with both ears visible and a neutral expression.
- File size is usually a maximum of 500 kb.
- File format is .jpg, .jpeg, .png
Note: SIU will mention the dimensions and file size in its registration guidelines once the application process begins.
Signature Specifications
- Signature must be done on clean and plain white paper.
- Signature must be done using black ink.
- File size is usually a maximum of 200 kb.
- File format is .jpg, .jpeg, .png

Apart from passport-size photograph and signature, candidates must keep the following documents ready:
- Relevant certificates for Reserved category or PwD category.
- Class 10 marksheet & certificate
- Class 12 marksheet & certificate
- Graduation marksheet & certificate
- Valid government-issued photo ID

Steps to Fill SNAP Registration Form 2026
Following are the steps required to fill out SNAP application form:

Open the SNAP 2026 website or click here: snaptest.org

Click on 'apply now' and then 'register' option

Read instructions and click on check box
- Now enter all details asked
- Select test dates and test cities
- Upload a recent passport size photo
- Click on save and next to move to next page
- Make fee payment of INR 2,250
- Now, enter academic details, select courses and fill address box
- Page will move to payment window for college selection
- Make payment and complete the process
Note: Candidates must use Internet Explorer version 6.0 or above, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome to fill their application form. Also, instead of using smartphones, candidates are advised to use a desktop or laptop to avoid issues.
