GUJCET Exam Pattern 2026: The exam body, GSHSEB has released GUJCET 2026 exam pattern in a notification PDF. Candidates can check GUJCET paper pattern to know sections, total number of questions, exam time duration, number of sections, and marking scheme. The GUJCET 2026 exam will be conducted in offline mode as a pen-and-paper-based test. There will be two papers - Paper 1 will comprise questions in Physics and Chemistry, and Paper 2 will comprise questions in Mathematics. The exam will have a total of 120 questions of 1 mark each, 40 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The total duration is 3 hours. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 in case of incorrect answer. In addition to pattern, candidates must also check GUJCET 2026 syllabus, as it is equally important for exam preparation. GUJCET Exam Pattern 2026

The exam body prescribes the GUJCET exam pattern. There are two papers and Paper 1 has questions from Physics and Chemistry, and Paper 2 from Mathematics.

The paper 1 will be held in morning shift and paper two will be held in afternoon shft.

Paper 1 will consist of 80 questions, 40 each from Physics and Chemistry. The time duration will be 120 minutes.

The paper 2, will have 80 questions, 40 each from Mathematics and Biology.

Candidates should also check the GUJCET question papers to understand the exam pattern. Checking the GUJCET previous year question papers will also help candidates to understand the weightage of subject-wise topics and exam difficulty level.

Students must solve only Maths part of Paper 2 while Pharmacy students must solve Biology section. Check the exam pattern below -

GUJCET Syllabus 2026

Along with the exam pattern, students must also check the GUJCET syllabus on which the question paper will be based. As per the syllabus of GUJCET, the questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and the difficulty level will be based on classes 11 and 12. Candidates must prepare using the prescribed syllabus as questions in the exam will be prepared with the syllabus in mind.

The GUJCET admission process includes registration, appearing for the exam, participating in the counselling, paying the fee and finally reporting to the college.

Q:   Is there any reservation in the GUJCET exam?
A: 

Yes, there is reservation in the GUJCET according to which 27% reservation is there for candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC). There are also provisions for widows, orphans, and students belonging to the Economically Backward Class (EWS). However, students will have to check the detailed notification for the same.

Q:   Are there any scholarships in the GUJCET exam?

As the GUJCET is just an entrance exam, there are no scholarships here. However, if you get shortlisted for a college, you might enquire for scholarships of that particular college.

No, there is no such fee waiver and all candidates will have to pay the GUJCET application fee. The application fee is INR 350 and it is same for everyone.
