IISER Registration Process 2026: Form Correction, Registration Date, Fees, Important Documents

IISER application form was available online. Candidates could apply for IAT in a few simple steps. Students had to check their eligibility status before filling IISER form. Also, keep all the documents ready to upload online. Below is the IISER application process.

Steps to apply for IISER 2026

• Register at the IISER Admission Website

Firstly, candidates need to register themselves at the IISER admission 2026 portal, which is iiseradmission.in. Candidates need to sign up using their name, email ID, and password. After the signup, a verification email will be sent to candidates’ registered email IDs. After that, login and complete the application process.

• Fill IISER Entrance Exam Application Form

Next, candidates had to fill out the IISER entrance exam 2026 application form in online mode and enter the information given below.

• • Personal details such as name, date of birth, religion, category, disability status, guardian’s name, etc.
  • Education details such as subject-wise marks secured in Class 12, name of the board, etc.
  • Choice for exam cities
  • Preference for the IISER campus
  • Upload a photo of 2 MB in the accepted format.
• Pay Application Fee

The last step is to pay the application fees. IISER form fee will be accepted online. Students can pay the fee through net banking / credit card / debit card.

IISER 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The authority has released the IISER 2026 eligibility criteria online. Eligibility is a condition to apply for the entrance test. IAT eligibility criteria 2026 are mentioned below. 

• The candidates must have passed the Class XII or equivalent level examination in 2024, 2025 or 2026 from any board recognised by the Council of Boards of School Education in India.

• Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class 12 Board exam or equivalent.

• Candidates belonging to reserved categories are required to score a minimum of 55 per cent marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class 12 Board or equivalent examination. Candidates belonging to other categories are required to score a minimum of 60 per cent marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class 12 Board or equivalent examination.

NOTE: The students from the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), from Kashmir division/Winter Zone areas of Jammu division and the U.T. of Ladakh, who had appeared in their Class 12 Board or equivalent level examination in 2022, will also be eligible to apply for the IAT 2026, provided they satisfy the other eligibility criteria.

Nationality

To get eligible for the IISER Entrance Exam, aspirants must abide by the following citizenship rules:

• The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
• The candidate can be a PIO or Person of Indian Origin. A PIO is a foreign citizen who has held an Indian passport or has parents, grandparents, or great-grandparents who were born and permanently resident in India. The Government of India launched the PIO Card Scheme in 1999 to make it easier for people to return to India.

Candidates need to upload a few documents while filling out the application form. The authority has suggested the file size and format. Every student must keep a soft copy of these documents in the required specifications. Below is the list of documents.

• Class 10 Board exam or equivalent Marksheet or Pass Certificate
• Class 10 Board exam or equivalent Marksheet or Pass Certificate
• Candidate's Photograph
• Candidate's Signature 
• ID proof with photo 

• Category Certificate if applicable.

Notes: If the Class 12 Board exam or equivalent Marksheet is not available now, you can instead upload a signed declaration form "DECLARATION BY THE CANDIDATE IN LIEU OF ELIGIBILITY EXAM MARKSHEET". This form is available in the registration portal and in the information brochure. Candidates can download the form through the registration portal as well as from here.

Students who are filling the IISER application form must follow the mentioned check list. This will help to avoid making any mistakes while applying online. 

Instructions while filling IAT form:

• Use a valid email id and mobile number.
• Use Class 10th certificate or equivalent certificate to enter the applicant's name.
• There should be no variation in the spelling of first name or Surname.
• Carry the same photo identity proof to the exam centre that was used in the application.
• The documents must be in the prescribed format and size.
• Check all details before the final submission. If there is any mismatch during the document verification process, the candidature will get cancelled.

Candidates applying for IISER 2026 had to pay the application fee online. IAT form fee varies for each category. The application fee is accepted online, and no other mode will be entertained.

The authority has closed the form correction window on April 16, 2026. The registered candidates can make changes to the IISER form. However, no complete change in the filled form were allowed.
