Botany Admission 2025 is based on both merit and entrance procedures. Botany is a biological program where you study about plants and their ecosystem. The Botany course eligibility differs on the basis of the college as well as the course level. However, the minimum requirement is to clear Class 12 in the Science Stream with PCB subjects with at least 50% aggregate score.

Botany Admission Process

Follow these steps if you wish to get admission in Botany course -

GATE Syllabus

GATE entrance is mainly divided into 2 categories: General Aptitude and Subject-specific. General Aptitude includes Verbal, Quantitative, Analytical, and Spatial Aptitude and subject topics include Mathematical Physics, Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetic Theory, Quantum Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Statistical Physics, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Solid State Physics, Electronics, etc. 

NEET Syllabus

The NEET syllabus consists of core biology, chemistry and physics concepts. The exam comprises of 180 questions out of which 90 are of biology and 45 are of physics and chemistry each.

CSIR NET Syllabus

The CSIR NET syllabus comprises core science subjects such as Earth Science, Chemical Science, Mathematical Science, Ocean Science and Atmospheric Science.

UGC NET Syllabus

UGC NET syllabus is divided into Paper 1 ( consists of aptitude, reasoning and communication) and Paper 2 ( consists of Economics, Political Science, Environmental Studies etc.).
