Chemistry Admission 2025 FAQs

Q. What entrance exam is needed for a BSc in Chemistry?

A. Some popular national and univsersity-level entrance exam scores that are generally accepted for BSc Chemistry admission include CUET, ICAR AIEEA (UG), BHU CET, JMI Entrance, CU-CET, etc. Qualifying these exams can help you get admission to the top BSc in Chemistry colleges in India.

Q. Can I get admission into a BSc in Chemistry without Physics subject in the CUET exam?

A. The primary requirement for admission to the BSc in Chemistry program at the majority of central universities, such as Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Aligarh Muslim University, etc., is that you must have chosen the domain subjects of

PHYSICS + CHEMISTRY + MATHS (For DU)
PHYSICS CHEMISTRY (for BHU)
PHYSICS + CHEMISTRY + MATHS (AMU)
Since Physics is a required domain subject for the CUET exam, you cannot earn a BSc in Chemistry from most central universities without taking the Physics exam as well. However, you can search for a private college that can meet your needs.

Q. Can I take admission in MSc Organic Chemistry after completing graduation in chemistry without having Maths in Class 12?

A. Indeed, you are admitted to the MSC program in Organic Chemistry (since Maths is not required at the 10+2 level). Indeed, several universities, including JNU, JAMIA University, Sagar University MP, CUCET exam (held annually for admissions in central universities throughout the nation), BHU, and others, administer their own entrance exams for admission to MSC programs. You are able to apply for that.

However, some colleges and universities use MERIT-based admissions, which are based on a student's grades.

Q. Is there any good college for distance programs in Chemistry in India?

A. Yes, there are many colleges offering distance programs in Chemistry in India. Here are some top options:
