IPU CET 2026: Admit Card, Exam Dates, Application Form, Result, Admission Process, Counselling

Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test IPU CET is a National Level Exam. IPU CET or Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test, is a competitive examination conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) in Delhi, India. It is held annually for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the university and its affiliated colleges.

The IPU CET 2026 exam will be conducted from April 2026. The registration link for IPU CET 2026 will be active from February  2026 to April 2026. The IPU CET 2026 will be conducted for various courses by the university. 

The full form of IPU CET is Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test. It is a common entrance exam conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). The exam is conducted for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by colleges affiliated to the university.

Passed in Class 12 examination from a recognised board with a minimum of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The candidate should have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination. Appeared in JEE Main Paper 1 conducted by the National Testing Agency NTA and admission would be based on the merit list/rank list. B.Tech (Biotechnology) Pass in Class 12 examination with a minimum of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology. Appeared in the IPU CET, and their name should be in the merit list/rank list.

For Lateral Entry BTech, BSc Candidates should have passed BSc. With Mathematics as a subject. The candidates must have scored a minimum of 60% marks from any recognised University. The candidates should have appeared in the IPU CET. The name of the candidate should be there in the merit list/rank list.

Candidates should have passed three years Diploma in the relevant subject with a minimum of 60% marks. Appeared in the IPU CET and their name should be in the merit list/rank list. Candidates should have cleared Mathematics as a subject at the Class 12 level or should have studied Mathematics as a subject in the first year of the Diploma programme. Candidates should not have any backlog in any of the subjects in the qualifying examination.

The last date to submit the IPU CET application form will be in April 2026. The candidates have to submit the application before the last date. IPU CET application fee is INR 1200. To complete the online application form for IPU CET 2026, candidates are required to pay an application fee of INR 1200. Upon successful registration, candidates will receive a unique ID and Password. The candidates can fill the application form after registration by providing their personal, educational, and other necessary information.

The IPU CET application form is expected to be released in February 2026. The last date to apply for the exam will be in April 2026. The application fee must be paid while submitting the application form. 

IPU CET result 2026 was declared a few days post conclusion of the exam. The result of LE-BTech for Diploma Holder (CET Code - 128) has been announced. The counselling process has started after the results were out.

Yes, it is possible to download the IPU CET result again in case it is misplaced. The result will be available on the official website. The candidates must follow the same procedure as before to download the result. They should click on the result link and download their result using their login credentials. The IPU CET result is announced on different days for various courses.

Candidates should have a valid JEE Main scorecard to apply for IPU CET B.Tech counselling. Admission to the B.Tech course is given based on JEE Main score, followed by IPU CET counselling. To participate in the IPU CET 2026 counselling, candidates need to pay the counselling participation fee.

The documents required for verification are JEE Main admit card & result (for B.Tech course), IPU CET 2026 score card (B.Tech (BioTechnology), Lateral Entry to B.Tech Programmes for B.Sc. Graduates, Lateral Entry to B.Tech Programmes for Diploma holders) caste category Certificate admission receipt, provisional allotment letter, and conduct Certificate. The candidates must make sure that all the documents are provided during document verification. After confirmation of the seats, candidates have to go through the document verification process.

IPU CET counselling is being conducted in online mode. The candidates are allotted seats during IPU CET counselling. Candidates are called for counselling based on their JEE Main score for the B.Tech programme. For B.Tech (Biotechnology), Lateral Entry to B.Tech programmes for Diploma holders and Lateral Entry to B.Tech programmes for B.Sc. Graduates, candidates are called for counselling based on IPU CET score.

IPU CET results of the different courses will be released separately on different dates. The candidates must check the official website regularly to check for the result. The results of LE-BTech for Diploma Holders (CET Code - 128), LE-BTech for BSc Holders (CET Code - 129), and BioTechnology (CET Code - 130) will be in June 2024, tentatively. The exam dates can be expected in May and June 2026.

IPU CET is conducted only one time in a year for the admission of the candidates. The exam is conducted for admission to various courses at Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University. IPU CET is conducted only for some of the courses that are not covered under the national level entrance exams. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University considers the merit/score of the National Level Test score conducted by agencies other than the University for admission to the B.Tech LL.B. MCA LL. M. and MBA. Only applicants who have passed the relevant National Level Test will be considered for admission through the university's counselling process if they meet the eligibility and admission requirements. If a candidate wants to apply for more than one CET, they must fill separate application form for each CET. IPU CET 2026 application process for various UG and PG courses is available from February 2026 to April 2026.
