JEE Main 2020 Paper 2 Exam Guidelines
- Students were not allowed to carry anything inside the examination hall except their admit card and undertaking, ballpoint pen, transparent water bottle, identity proof and passport size photo.
- Metal detectors were used from distance at the entry gate and no bags or wristwatches were allowed inside.
- Students reported that entry started at 8 am
- Social distancing was maintained at most of the test centres

Mathematics: The Mathematics section was of easy to moderate level. Questions in this section were evenly distributed and asked from all the chapters including Co-ordinate Geometry, Calculus & Algebra. Some of the questions in the section required lengthy calculations.
Physics: The Physics section was moderate to difficult. Numerical based questions were tougher than the MCQs. A good number of questions were asked from the NCERT books.
Chemistry: Chemistry section questions were also easy to moderate level. The questions were evenly distributed among Physical, Inorganic & Organic chemistry. Few of the questions were lengthy. This section also had some questions directly from NCERT.

Overall, the JEE Main 2020 Paper 2 was of Easy level as per students compared to JEE Main 2020 January session. Students were given enough plain papers for rough work.

Overall JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 was easy to moderate level. As compared to last year, the paper was easy to moderate level as per students. There were no errors or technical glitches, as reported by candidates.
JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Analysis for Aptitude Section
In the Aptitude Section, there were questions on identifying the top view, front view of 3 dimensional objects/shapes, identifying mirror images, there were 10-15 questions on general knowledge like full form of NASA/ISRO and also location of places with architectural importance.
JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Analysis for Drawing Section
In JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Drawing Section, the first question had three parts and students had to attempt ANY ONE out of the below options. This question was of 30 marks.
- The first question was to design the curtain of small girl’s room.
- The second question was to sketch your favourite film actor
- The third was to sketch the scene of people sitting around a bonfire.
In the second question of 20 marks students, a square design was given and students had to draw the same by drawing the replica to double its size. While in the third question of 20 marks, students had to draw a square with random designs using curved lines & colour.
