Overview

KCET 2026 Dates: CET results are expected around May 28-29. A May 24 re-exam in Hiriyur due to malpractice may cause a slight delay, says Dr. M.C. Sudhakar. The authorities will declare the KCET results 2026 on the official websites: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea, kea.kar.nic.in, and karresults.nic.in.

Earlier the exam body released a secure login portal for UGCET 2026 candidates from non-Karnataka boards such as CBSE/ICSE. This portal could be used to auto-fetch candidates 10+2 marks and to do the same, candidates had to log in using their credentials such as application number, password, and captcha. Earlier they released the final answer keys on May 10, 2026. Candidates can download the final answer key from its official website. Earlier they released the KCET provisional answer key 2026 for all paper sets of Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The KCET 2026 exam was conducted in offline pen and paper mode from April 22 to 24, 2026. The Karnataka Examinations Authority has announced the complete schedule of KCET 2026 exam. Karnataka Examination Authority has released KCET 2026 provisional answer keyThe answer keys is available for PhysicsChemistryBiology, and Mathematics in the PDF format. KCET Admit Card Date 2026

KEA released the KCET admit card 2026 at its official website, and students who successfully registered for the exam by filling the application form are issued the admit card to download it from there. After downloading KCET hall ticket, they must check all details carefully. In case of errors, they must contact exam authority for corrections. Students must carry the KCET admit card along with one valid photo ID proof to the exam centre.

KEA mentioned the KCET exam date 2026 on its notification PDF and released it on its official website. As per the dates announced, the test was conducted on April 23 and 24, 2026. The Kannada language test was conducted on April 22, 2026. The KCET entrance test was conducted in offline pen & paper mode. Students had to appear in the exam by carrying their admit card along with one government-issued photo ID proof.

The entrance exam was held across major exam centres in the state of Karnataka to shortlist candidates for the B.Tech. course across participating universities. Students' final selection for the course will be based on their performance in the exam and how they go through the counselling process.

Karnataka Examinations Authority will start KCET 2026 counselling online. Applicants shortlisted based on the results will be eligible to participate in the KCET counselling process. Candidates first need to complete the KCET counselling choice filling and locking from the login facility. Candidates will be able to access the option entry link from the official website upon release. 

After reviewing all the choices, KEA will release the KCET seat allotment 2026 at the official website. KEA will first release the KCET mock seat allotment 2026 after the counselling windows close. Candidates allotted college will have to report it to verify their documents and claim their seat. They must also pay their course fee to continue with their admissions.

KEA closed the KCET 2026 application correction window on March 30, 2026. Applicants who made any mistakes at the time of filling form could make corrections through the application correction. Karnataka Examinations Authority closed the KCET 2026 application fee payment window on March 7, 2026, earlier the last date to pay the fee was March 3, 2026.

Applicants looking for admission to engineering courses could fill out the application form of KCET 2026 till February 27, 2026 from cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. The application process of KCET 2026 comprised of registration, filling out forms, uploading documents, and payment of the KCET application fee. Candidates had to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature at the time of filling the KCET application form 2026.

The exam pattern of KCET comprises various components like duration of exam, marking scheme and others. KCET exam is conducted for three subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) for a duration of 80 minutes each. One mark is awareded for every correct answers while there is no negative marking for incorrect answers in KCET exam. Applicants from Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga also have to appear for the KCET Kannada language exam which is conducted for a duration of 60 minutes.  

Q:   What is the duration of KCET UGET exam?

Each paper of KCET exam is conducted for 80 minutes. The Kannada language exam of KCET will be conducted for 60 minutes for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. KCET exam Biology and Mathematics exam will be conducted on same day while Physics & Chemistry exam will be conducted on separate day.
