
CUET exam centres 2026 are located at 306 cities across India and 15 abroad. NTA has alloted 79% candidates their 1st choice city and 96.6% candidates allotted of their preferred cities. However, candidates who have been alloted far away centres could apply for revised state and city. NTA has released CUET UG exam intimation slip 2026 and admit card at cuet.nta.nic.in. Information such as CUET 2026 centre city location, exam date, slot and paper is displayed on the slip, whereas the CUET admit card details the exam centre details. NTA will conduct CUET UG 2026 from May 11 to May 31, 2026.

How to Select CUET Exam City 2026?
CUET exam centre preference can be selected while filling the application form. NTA has now closed the registration window. Candidates appearing for CUET exam, could follow steps below to enter centre preference:
- Visit CUET 2026 website, cuet.nta.nic.in
- In Exam City preference section of CUET 2026 application form, select two cities in preferred order.
- Complete application process by paying application fee.
- Exam city preference can be changed during correction window.

CUET exam centre is allocated on the basis of the preferences entered by the candidate while filling the CUET application form. NTA allotes exam centre as per the preference entered and is subject to availability and logistical consideration.
While filling the CUET application form, candidates can select four cities of their choice. Choice of CUET exam centre cities will be limited to the State of permanent address or State of present address only. In case there are very few candidates from a city, the NTA reserves the right to merge one, two, or more cities.
CUET 2026 exam will be held in May-June 2026 in computer based mode over a month window. The exam will be held across more than 300 exam cities in India. Candidates will be able to know the alloted exam centre on issuance of CUET intimation slip or CUET admit card.
Important Guidelines for CUET Exam Centre 2026
Test takers must follow the below guidelines at CUET exam centre 2026:
- Carry CUET admit cards to exam centre. Without hall ticket, applicant will not be allowed to appear for exam.
- Carry valid identity proof such as Aadhaar Card/voter id/driving licence.
- Reach allotted exam centre at least half an hour before scheduled time.
- Students appearing for exam are not allowed to carry any electronic devices or paper.
- The student should also not engage in unfair means.
Allowed Items at CUET 2026 Exam Centre
Following items will be allowed to be carried inside CUET 2026 exam centres:

- Few copies of passport-size photographs
- Transparent water bottle
- 50 ml sanitiser bottle
- Fruits or medicines (only for diabetic candidates)
Items Not Allowed at CUET 2026 Exam Centre
The following items or objects will not be allowed to be carried inside CUET 2026 exam centres.
- Stationery items such as test-based material (written/printed), papers, notes, Pencil box, pouches, geometry box, pen, scale/ruler, eraser, etc.
- Electronic devices such as calculators, cameras, electronic pens, scanners, etc.
- Accessories such as bags, belts, caps, goggles, wallets, etc.
- Devices used for communication such as mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth, fitness bands, earphones, pager, etc.
- Eatables (packed or home-cooked), thermos, etc.

Candidates must reach alloted CUET exam centre two hours before mentioned exam time. Candidates must complete verification process and take their seats immediately after the opening of examination hall. If the candidates does not report at alloted CUET exam centre on time due to traffic, delay in transport, important instructions to appear for the exam can be missed.
NTA will release CUET 2026 city intimation slip online. Candidates who will complete the CUET application process by paying the requisite fee can log in with their username and password and download the slip to check the city where their CUET UG 2026 exam centre will be located.
CUET intimation slip mentions the date of examination, shift, subject/test papers and medium chosen by the candidate while filling the application form. City intimation slips are released subsequently for the exams scheduled on different dates. CUET city intimation slip is not an admit card. It is an advanced information about the allotment of city. Based on the city allotted, candidates will have to make the necessary arrangement for travel, accommodation, etc.
While filling the CUET application form, Aadhar card is used an identity proof and not for address proof. Candidates can choose to upload alternate document for verification process. If candidate has filled different address in CUET application form than what is mentioned in the Aadhar card won't create a problem. However, candidate is advised to update the Aadhar card details to avoid any problem.
Yes, candidates can add/delete the CUET exam centre preference in the application form. Candidates can edit the exam centre details if they have not submitted the application form or during the correction window. Candidates can add upto two exam centre prefrence while filling the application form.
National Testing Agency re-commenced CUET 2026 registration on February 23, 2026. Soon after the release of the CUET notification, candidates can check the important dates about CUET 2026. The last date for CUET 2026 registration was February 26, 2026 (11.50 PM).
Candidates were required to fill the CUET application form within the given time frame, failing which no request for extension of the CUET registration last date will be entertained. NTA does not provide the window for late fee payment. CUET 2026 application process is in online mode. No physical copies of the CUET application form must be sent to the authorities.
