Changes in AEEE paper pattern:

  • Until 2019, AEEE was held in both pen & paper and CBT mode. Candidates could choose their preferred mode.
  • After 2019, Amrita scrapped the offline option. AEEE is now strictly conducted as a CBT exam.
  • From 2026, a new section, "Quantitative Aptitude", has been added to the exam.

Yes, Amrita Univeristy releases the AEEE mock tests. Candidates can access the AEEE / JEE preparation tests under their respective logins at AOAP. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham organises 2 types of mock tests:

  • AEEE / JEE Problem Solving sessions
  • AEEE / JEE Practice Test

These tests help the students to get familiar with the exam pattern and time management, stay focused, discover, and adapt to the strategies that help them to perform better.

Q:   Can I access the AEEE mock tests from past years?

Candidates can access AEEE mock test sample papers from shiksha.com website - https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/aeee-exam-question-papers. Official mock test papers are not released by Amrita.

Offline AEEE Previous Year Question Papers

Amrita University offered a dual-testing model between 2015 and 2019. Candidates could choose between the online Computer-Based Test (CBT) and the traditional offline Pen and Paper Test (PBT). The current paper pattern is very different. However, candidates can download the AEEE previous year offline papers to practice more questions.

No, for unattempted questions, marks will not be deducted in the AEEE exam. However, 1 mark will be deducted for wrong answers.

Amrita offers tuition fee waivers and scholarships to top-ranked students. Highly ranked candidates in AEEE or JEE Main are considered for lower fee slabs (Slab 1 or Slab 2) during CSAP seat allotment.
