What is COMEDK UGET Exam?

COMEDK UGET exam is a common entrance test held at the national level for admission to around 150 unaided private engineering colleges in Karnataka. COMEDK full form is the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka that conducts UGET. It is an autonomous body that is entrusted with the responsibility of organising UGET. The undergraduate entrance test (UGET) is a computer-based test for admission to BE courses. This test is open to all eligible students in the country. Seats in the colleges are allotted based on COMEDK UGET scores via an online counselling process.

The authority will release the COMEDK 2026 answer key at comedk.org on May 16. Candidates who appear for the exam will be able to check the answer key, response sheet and the question paper for COMEDK UGET 2026 through the COMEDK login. The exam authority will first release the provisional COMEDK UGET answer key. Candidates will be allowed to raise objections to the COMEDK provisional key until May 18. The officials will review each objection made and then issue the COMEDK final answer key on May 23. The results will be based on the final answer key. 

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka will declare the COMEDK UGET result at comedk.org on May 29. The result will be available as a scorecard. Candidates will be able to check their COMEDK result 2026 using their application number and password.

The consortium will conduct the COMEDK 2026 counselling in online mode. The COMEDK UGET counselling dates will be announced at comedk.org after the announcement of results. Applicants declared qualified in the exam can participate in the COMEDK counselling 2026. The counselling for COMEDK UGET will comprise steps such as registration, choice filling & locking, seat allotment and fee payment. The counselling will be conducted in multiple rounds. The authority will announce the COMEDK UGET cutoff after each round of counselling.

COMEDK Admission Process 2026

The admission process via COMEDK UGET is as follows:  

• Candidates first need to apply for COMEDK UGET 2026 from the official website.  
• Download the COMEDK UGET admit card to appear for the exam.  
• Sit for the COMEDK 2026 computer-based test.  
• Check the score and download the rank card.  
• Attend the counselling as per schedule. 

The COMEDK UGET application form was released on February 3, 2026. Eligible students were able to apply on the website, comedk.org. The COMEDK registration concluded on March 23. The application process involves registration, form-filling, uploading the documents and fee payment. To submit the COMEDK UGET 2026 application form, candidates had to ensure the following process.

How to Fill the COMEDK UGET Application Form 2026?

• Visit the COMEDK website - comedk.org 2026.
• Fill in the details in the COMEDK UGET 2026 registration form.  
• Generate and validate OTP for the registered mobile number.  
• Click on register and complete the candidate registration.  
• Receive SMS & E-mail with User ID/App no and Password.  
• Log out and Login again using User ID & Password.  
• Click on 'Go to application'.  
• Select the exam that you are applying for.  
• Enter personal details.  
• Fill in category details.  
• Fill in academic details and upload documents in the prescribed format and size as mentioned in the information brochure.  
• Fill in the examination city preferences and select payment details.  
• Verify all details in the "Preview" Page.  
• Click on "Submit " and complete the payment.  
• Check the successful application status by logging in again.  
• Take a printout of the COMEDK application form 2026 (for your reference only).  

COMEDK UGET Application Form Correction 2026

Students are allowed to make corrections in their application form. However, this option is available in online mode for a limited time period only. It must be noted that only certain details are allowed to be edited. Details like parents' name, email ID, mobile number and others cannot be allowed to be changed during COMEDK 2026 form correction. Candidates are advised to review all the details before submitting the form. The COMEDK UGET application form correction was available from April 10 to 13, 2026.

The authority has released the COMEDK UGET 2026 eligibility criteria on the official website. Applicants must check the COMEDK eligibility criteria before starting with the registration process. The eligibility criteria include age limit, educational qualification and more. The general eligibility criteria is specified below.  

• Pass the qualifying examination with 45% (40% for reserved categories). 
• Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one optional subject.
• Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there are no lateral entry admissions.
• There is no age limit for the COMEDK UGET exam.
• Candidates should have passed in all the individual subjects, including all optional or additional subjects.
• All the subjects should be passed from a single board. Marksheets from 2 different boards will not be accepted. Example: A single candidate having a scorecard of Physics and Chemistry from the CBSE board and a scorecard of Mathematics from the NIOS board is not eligible.

The list of COMDK 2026 exam centres is given in the official notification. Students must check the exam centres list to mark their preferences while filling the form. The COMEDK exam is conducted in online mode at various centres across the country. Note that the COMEDK UGET exam centres are allotted to candidates on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants have to select three exam city choices while filling the form. This year, the authority will conduct the exam in 181 exam cities. Last year, this was 199 cities.
