GATE 2025 IIT Bombay Cutoff OUT

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) is one of the most prestigious engineering institutions in India, known for its high academic standards, world-class research, and competitive admission process. Every year, thousands of engineering aspirants attempt the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam to secure a seat in the M.Tech programmes IIT Bombay offers. For 2025-26, IIT Bombay has released the GATE 2025 cutoff for all branches.

What Is GATE Cutoff for IIT Bombay?

The IIT Bombay GATE cutoff is the minimum score or rank required to be eligible for admission to various postgraduate programmes, including M.Tech, through GATE. It varies every year depending on multiple factors such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats.

Q:   Can I get into NIT with low GATE score or GATE cutoff?
A:

Some NITs have lower cutoff scores than others, so you may get in better if you apply to less competitive NITs. It is advisable to target for certain branches or specializations that have lower demand, leading to a lower cutoff score.

Q:   What is the difference between the GATE qualifying and admission cutoffs?
A:

GATE qualifying cutoff is the institute eligibility cutoff, and on the other hand, the GATE admission cutoff ensures a call for admission at IITs, NITs, IITs, and CFTIs. Check below in detail:

GATE Qualifying Cutoff: It is the minimum mark a candidate must score so that he or she is eligible for admission. But this does not mean that a candidate is selected for admission. Actually, it is fixed before the announcement of GATE results. It is announced by the conducting IIT and available on GOAPS. It includes qualifying marks for each paper.

Admission GATE Cutoffs: It is the final opening and closing rank score fixed by the participating institutes for the selection of candidates. It is to be noted here that meeting the admission GATE cutoff does not mean that the candidates will be selected for admission. It is fixed after the GATE result date. It is declared by the individual participating institutes and available on their respective counselling portals (CCMT/ COAP).

Q:   When will IIT Roorkee release the GATE cutoff 2025?
A:

IIT Roorkee will release the GATE cutoff along with the announcement of results. The GATE 2025 results will be released on March 19, 2025. Candidates can access their results on the GOAPS portal using their enrollment ID and password.

IIT Bombay released the GATE COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) counselling rounds cutoff. It is published separately for each specialization and category (General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD).
