The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has released the GATE 2025 cutoff for all branches (category-wise). The GATE 2025 result was announced on March 19, 2025. Candidates who have secured the scores as per the cutoff mark were eligible for the counselling.

What Is GATE Cutoff for IIT Bombay?

The GATE cutoff for IIT Bombay is the minimum mark or score that is required to be eligible for admission to MTech programmes depending on the seat intake. The cutoff varies every year depending on multiple factors, such as applicants, difficulty level of the question paper, and seat availability. Admissions to IIT Bombay is done through COAP counselling and will be released separately for each category.

Yes, GATE score is required to get admission to IIT Bombay course. However, aspirants who have not qualified GATE can also get admission based on written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round. In order to be eligible to apply for the course, an aspirant must have a BE/ BTech/ BSc/ Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning/ MSc/ MCA/ MBBS/ MPharm/ BPharm/ BDS/ degree recognised equivalent to BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category) earned through Associate Membership Examinations conducted by recognised professional bodies to apply for MTech course.
