Overview

UPTAC Application Form 2026: Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has extended the UPTAC counselling registrations to June 16. Eligible candidates have to register for UPTAC 2026 to participate in the counselling process for admission to various first-year and second-year UG courses offered by all institutions affiliated to/constituent of AKTU and other state universities. The  UPTAC 2026 application form is available online only at a newly launched official website - uptac.samarth.edu.in.

The UPTAC 2026 counselling registration process starts with registration using name, date of birth, password creation and contact details. This is followed by verification of APAAR ID, filling in the required details, uploading the documents and then paying the counselling fee.  After the conclusion of UPTAC counselling registration, the choice-filling process starts. How to Fill UPTAC Counselling Application Form 2026

UPTAC counselling application form is released online. To be registered for counselling, candidates will have to register before the final date. Counselling is held for both Engineering and Architecture admission. Steps to fill the online application form are given below.

Step 1: Open the Portal

  • Go to uptac.samarth.edu.in.
  • Click New Candidate Registration.

Step 2: Input Personal Details

  • Enter your name.
  • Provide your birth date.
  • Input your email address.
  • Set a secure password.
  • Enter your mobile number.

Step 3: Authenticate via OTP

  • Check your phone and email.
  • Enter the received codes.

Step 4: Accept Terms

  • Review the displayed guidelines.
  • Click I Agree.

Step 5: Link APAAR ID

  • Provide your APAAR ID.
  • Complete the mandatory verification.

Step 6: Fill Profile & Uploads

  • Complete your personal profile.
  • Upload your photograph.
  • Upload your signature.
  • Attach required documents.
  • Check the declaration box.

Step 7: Review & Submit

  • Check the form preview.
  • Click Submit.

Step 8: Pay Fees

  • Choose online payment.
  • Use cards or netbanking.
  • Wait for SMS/email confirmation.
  • Click Next.

Step 9: Save Receipt

  • Download the completed application.
  • Print a physical copy.

Eligibility to Apply for UPTAC Counselling 2026

Age limit: There is no age limit for admission to the courses covered in the counselling.

Nativity: Check various nativity requirements for the UPTAC counselling 2026 below:

  • This counselling is open to the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in UP or whose parents are domicile of U.P subject to the eligibility conditions. If the candidate has passed the qualifying examination from outside UP, he/she has to upload the domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother only) at the time of registration for online verification and to be produced in the original at the time of offline verification during physical reporting at the Institute where the seat has been allotted.
  • This counselling is also open to the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located outside UP and whose parents (both Father and mother) are not domicile of UP subject to the eligibility conditions given in the Information Brochure.

  • Passed 10+2 examination and Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the subjects taken together. OR Passed the Dvoc stream in the same or allied sector.

  • Passed 10+2 examination with Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology/ Biology/Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject/Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed a minimum 3 years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject. Will be allotted if seats remain vacant after allotment to Diploma Students.

Passed DVoc Stream in the same or allied sector from the institution recognized by BTEUP or equivalent.

Important Instructions for UPTAC Registrations 2026

Check the important instructions below for candidates registering for UPTAC counselling 2026:

  • Name and other details entered by the applicant need to be the same as in the Class X Marksheet
  • Applicant can log in to the admission portal through their registered email address only.
  • Applicant must use her/his own active email address.
  • The Email address provided by the applicant must be functional, and the applicant must have access to it throughout the admission process.
  • Applicants are encouraged to use the latest version of the Google Chrome web browser to fill out the application form.
  • Following UPTAC registration, candidates must upload their documents for online verification by designated officers.
  • If any discrepancies are found, the officer will raise a query within the candidate's portal, which must be resolved by the applicant to gain approval.
  • Once the documents are cleared, candidates can log in to the official UPTAC website using their JEE Main credentials to participate in the UPTAC choice filling process. During this stage, applicants select and rank their preferred colleges and courses; the final seat allotment is then determined based on the candidate's JEE Main rank.

Yes, students have to participate in UPTAC Counselling if they want to get admission through the government quota at SRMS IBS. The institute selects students on an entrance + counselling basis mainly. Unless applying through the management quota, counselling is required.
