Common Management Admission Test or CMAT is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to over 1,300 MBA colleges across India. CMAT exam is a speed-based entrance test in which candidates are tested on their quantitative aptitude, data interpretation skills, logical reasoning, verbal ability, English language comprehension, innovation and entrepreneurship and general knowledge. CMAT is conducted in online mode for three hours are multiple exam centres across India in March.
CMAT is a moderate difficulty level MBA entrance exam. It is one of the most popular MBA entrance exams in India after CAT. The registration window of CMAT exam opens in January for candidates to apply. Some of the top MBA colleges in India accept CMAT scores for admission. These include Great Lakes Institute of Management, KIIT School of Management, Amity University, BIMTech, Goa Institute of Management, Xavier Institute of Management and Research, Gitam School of Management.

CMAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The CMAT aspirant must have completed graduation in any discipline or equivalent from a recognised university.

Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply for CMAT 2023 but they will have to present passing certificate at the time of admission.
- There is no minimum score requirement for CMAT 2023 in graduation.

CMAT Application Process 2023
CMAT registration and application process is online. The CMAT application form is hosted on the NTA-CMAT website. Application fees is INR 2,000 for General / EWS/OBC-NCL (Male) and INR 1,000 for rest of the students. Given below is the CMAT 2023 application process:
- Open CMAT 2023 website
- Click on ‘register for CMAT 2023’
- Click on 'new registration'
- Enter personal details and choose a password
- Log in with the application number generated and password
- Fill the CMAT 2023 form will relevant details
- Pay the application fee via debit/credit card or net banking
CMAT Test Cities
The CMAT 2023 exam will be conducted at multiple centres in over 120 cities across India. Candidates can select up to four cities as their preferred CMAT test cities in the application form. Check the list of CMAT test cities below:

CMAT Answer Key 2023
The NTA releases official answer keys of CMAT exam for candidates to assess their performance. The CMAT answer key is released within two to three days of the exam. Candidates can download the official CMAT answer key along with their individual response sheet from the NTA website. CMAT 2023 answer key will release most likely in the second week of April 2023. Check below steps to download:
- Go to NTA-CMAT website
- Click on 'CMAT 2022 answer key and response sheet' option
- Enter application number and password
- Click on 'answer key' to download it
NTA also provides candidates the opportunity to challenge the official answer key of CMAT. Candidates will be able to challenge CMAT 2023 answer key by filling an online form and pay INR 200 per questions as fees at the exam website.
