Karnataka PGCET 2024 Exam Begins Today; Check Exam Day Guidelines Here

The Karnataka Examinations Authority is conducting the PGCET 2024 exam today, August 4. Candidates were issued the Karnataka PGCET hall ticket on July 25. Those who are yet to download the Karnataka PGCET admission tickets can access the download link available on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. No candidate without a hard copy of the Karnataka PGCET admit card is allowed to enter the examination hall.

Karnataka PGCET exam for MCA admission is scheduled to be held in the morning session, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The Karnataka PGCET MBA exam will be conducted from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Both MBA and MCA exams will have a total of 100 questions, to be answered within 120 minutes. Candidates must try and attempt all the questions in Karnataka PGCET 2024 exam.

Candidates still trying to study for the exam must focus on the previous yearโ€™s question papers and short notes to go through what they have already studied. Picking up new topics is not recommended at the last minute of the PGCET exam.

Documents Required at Karnataka PGCET 2024 Exam Centre

Candidates need to carry a hard copy of the Karnataka PGCET hall ticket along with a valid photo ID proof to the exam centre. Any of the following documents among the ID proofs can be carried along with the hall ticket:

  • Passport
  • Adhaar Card
  • PAN Card
  • Driving Licence
  • Voters ID Card

Karnataka PGCET Exam Day Guidelines 2024

To appear for the Karnataka PGCET exam, candidates must abide by the following rules and guidelines laid down by KEA for seamless examination process:

  • Candidates must not forget to carry the PGCET admit card and photo ID proof.
  • To avoid any last minute hassles, candidates must arrive at the exam centre before the specified reporting time.
  • No electronic devices, eatables, or stationery items are allowed inside the exam hall.
  • Candidates must abide by the PGCET dress code issued by KEA on the official website.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the test centre before the exam concludes.

After the exam, KEA will allow candidates to exit the exam centre with Karnataka PGCET question booklet and a replica of their OMR sheets.

Yes, KEA released the Karnataka PGCET exam schedule on its official website. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) releases the Karnataka PGCET exam dates along with the registration schedule. The dates for admit card download, and result declartion are notified in due course.

KEA conducts the Karnataka PGCET exam for admission to MBA/MCA, and MTech courses offered by colleges in Karnataka. As per the information brochure, candidates can download the answer key within three to four days of the exam date.

Karnataka PGCET exam dates and event schedule is released by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).  KEA conducts the Karnataka PGCET exam for admission to MBA/MCA, and MTech courses offered by colleges in Karnataka. Besides these courses, candidates aspiring for MArch courses are also required to fill the PGCET form to be considered for the centralised counselling process. Karnataka MArch admissions are based on CoA's PGETA. 

KEA releases the schedule for Karnataka PGCET exam, including the application schedule, admit card dates, exam dates, answer key release schedule, and result declaration dates. Besides these events, KEA also conducts the centralised counselling process for MBA admission and the schedule for the same is released seperately.

Q: ย  I have lost my challan copy of having paid for PGCET MBA Karnataka. Is it necessary for verification?
A:

Note that the challan copy is a proof of the candidateโ€™s candidature in Karnataka PGCET, hence it is an important document to retain. If the challan copy is lost, candidates must ensure that they have the challan number with them or anything that would be helpful in proving the candidature. Candidates can login to their candidate portal of Karnataka PGCET and check if the challan copy is a available for download.

The last resort is to contact the administration to inform them about the same. KEA will be able to provide the required resolution for the issue.
