XAT 2027 Registration Dates
XAT Registration Start Date 2027
XAT registration start date 2027 was July 15. Registration tab was activated post 10 am on July 15, and candidates could fill up the online form after that. The application window will remain open for almost 5 and a half months.
XAT Registration Last Date 2027
XAT 2027 registration last date is December 6, 2026 according to the official notification. The deadline to submit XAT application form may get extended, but candidates should not delay submission. Test city allotment will be done on the basis of first come first serve (application receipt date) so in order to get the most preferred city, apply early. XAT exam fee is also to be paid before registration last date.
XAT Application Correction Dates 2027
XAT application form correction window will open multiple times between October and November for candidates to update or edit their already submitted application form. XAT form correction link remains active for three to four days on the official website, xatonline.in. XAT form correction is free of cost.

Eligibility Criteria for XAT 2027
- The minimum eligibility criteria for XAT 2027 is graduation. The degree should be from a UGC recognized university
- There is no minimum marks requirement for either Reserved or Unreserved categories
- Candidates having passing marks in graduation are eligible for XAT exam
- Final year graduation students can also apply for the exam
- Professional degree holders (equivalent to bachelor’s degree) such as CA/CS/ICWAI can also apply
- There is no age limit to fill the XAT application form and appearing in the exam

How to Register for XAT 2027?
Step 1: Visit the XAT Official Website
Go to XATONLINE.IN website to register for the exam.
Step 2: Create XAT Login Credentials
Click on new registration option and enter basic details to create login. Verify it with OTP received in email/mobile phone
Step 3: Fill Personal Details
Once registered, go to candidate dashboard and fill the application form with personal details such as gender, category, address, parents’ details, etc.
Step 4: Enter Academic and Work Experience Details
Enter class 10, 12 and graduation mark. If you have PG degree you can add details of it too. If you have work experience, you must fill in the details as it adds weight to your profile.
Step 5: Select XLRI Programmes
Select XLRI Jamshedpur or NCR campus and your preferred MBA programme
Step 6: Select XAT Test Cities
Select test cities for centre allotment. Select six cities in order of preference from 1 to 6
Step 7: Upload Photograph and Signature
Upload a recent passport size photo in colour and a scanned copy of your signature on a white background.
Step 8: Preview and Submit the Application Form
Go through all the entries and make changes if required. Thereafter submit the form to move to fee payment window.
Step 9: Pay the XAT Registration Fee
In the last step of XAT 2027 application process, you have to pay the exam fee. The form will not be accepted until you pay the fee.

Candidates can apply for XLRI Delhi's Business Management programme on the official website by selecting the course and campus option while filling the XAT application form which is released in the first week of August every year. If they do not mention XLRI Delhi has their preferred exam in the XAT application form, they will not be eligible for admission to the institute. Candidates must remember that there is no separate application form for XLRI PGDM programmes, so they need to make the selection of institute in the XAT application form only. There is no option to edit the field in the form later so candidates must mention the institute in the XAT application form. There is no provision of filling the admission form after the exam or after result announcement.
Yes, candidates with less than 50 per cent in aggregate in graduation are eligible for admission to PGDM courses in XLRI. Candidates need to have minimum passing marks in Graduation. They must have however, completed their graduation from a recognised university only. Candidates planning to seek admission to an MBA college other than XLRI must check its eligibility criteria as the minimum score requirement of AICTE approved colleges is 50 percent (45 percent for Reserved categories). But having 50 per cent and above score is not a guarantee for getting selected for admission. You will need to clear the admission round which is based on XAT cut off percentile. If you do not meet the XAT cut off percentile you will not be selected for XAT personal interview round, which is the main parameter for MBA admission in XLRI.
Candidates have to option to select two cities for allotment of XAT exam centre. The exam is held in 79 cities across India and you can choose any two cities as per your choice. While selecting the test cities for exam centre allotment, candidates must note the following:
- Select your home city or the city of your current residence as your first city of preference.
- Select the second city of preference as the one to which you can easily make arrangement of travel and stay in case you are allotted a centre there.
- The exam authorities strive to allot the exam centre in the city of first preference.
- At the same time, they have the right to cancel an exam centre in case there is not enough number of students or due to any other unforeseen situation.
The option to select test centre is not there in the XAT application form, but candidates can select cities where they can appear for the exam. XAT is conducted in about 79-80 cities across India and candidates get the option to choose two cites for centre allotment. They have to make this choice in the XAT application form. In the XAT application form, there is one field in which you have to select the test cities, you can simply select the cities of your choice from the drop down. The exam conducting authorities will allot a test centre in the city of first choice to every student. In case, the seat get filled in the centre of a particular city, the seat will be allotted to remaining candidates in the city selected as second option. The centre allotment is done on first come first serve basis. Candidates must fill the XAT application form and submit it as soon as they can so that they are allotted a centre in the city of their choice.
Once you've submitted the XAT fee, an acknowledgement page will be generated with XAT Id. This will be a confirmation that XAT registration is successful.
Once the XAT fee payment is process, the candidate will get an email and SMS regarding the same from their bank. The application form screen will also display 'payment successful' message. XLRI will then send a mail and SMS regarding successful fee payment and application form submission. In case, you do not receive the mail or message from XLRI (XATONLINE) within 24 hours, contact XATONLINE helpdesk.
XAT exam fee is not refundable. Candidates cannot request refund of XAT fee under any circumstances. They should fill XAT application fee with correct details and with no errors. If they make a mistake in entering details, they will have to fill the form again with a new ID and pay the fee again.
Candidates who pursued a 5-year Integrated course after 12th and are applying for XAT exam, can mention their undergraduate and postgraduate scores in the columns specified for the same in the XAT application form. For such candidates too, the minimum academic qualification remains the same.
To edit information entered in the XAT application form, candidates need to choose the 'EDIT' option and click on save option to make changes. Candidates can choose 'EDIT' option only before submitting the XAT form not after that. Candidates must a take fresh print out of the duly filled XAT application form after modifying any details. There is no provision of form correction in XAT, unlike other MBA entrance exams where candidates are given a window of 2-3 days to edit their form, XAT has no such provision. So, candidates need to ensure that they fill the right entries and if required make the changes before fee payment or form submission. Once the form is submitted they cannot edit it. They will have to fill another form and pay the exam fee again.
