KMAT application form 2026 was released on April 2, 2026. KMAT exam 2026 will be held in two sessions and two application forms will be released. The KMAT 2026 application form is available at KMAT India website, kmatindia.com. 

KPPGCA will conduct the KMAT 2026 exam. KMAT application form 2026 for MBA/PGDM and MCA will be same, and candidates have to select their course for admission while filling up the form itself. Candidates must pay the application fee to complete their KMAT registrations. Candidates must check the KMAT eligibility criteria 2026 and the instructions to fill out the form before filling up the application form.

Documents Required for Filling the KMAT Application Form 2026

Before candidates start filling KMAT application form, they should have following required documents:

  • Class 10 mark sheet

  • Class 12 mark sheet

  • Graduation mark sheet or certificate

  • Date of birth proof

  • Address proof

  • Caste category certificate, if applicable

  • Credit/debit card or net banking credentials

  • Scanned signature

  • Scanned passport-size photo of self, not more than three months old

Instructions to Be Followed During KMAT Application Process 2026

Candidates must keep following points in mind when filling KMAT 2026 application form:

  • Fill all fields of KMAT application form carefully with valid information. Do not leave mandatory fields empty.
  • Before submitting application form, review all information entered.
  • A wrong or incomplete KMAT 2026 application form will not be accepted.
  • Take a printout of confirmation letter, fee receipt and KMAT Karnataka application form once the application fee has been paid. If students do not receive the confirmation form, they should immediately contact the exam authorities.

Mistakes to Avoid In KMAT Application Process 2026

Read below to know some of the common mistakes that should be avoided while filling the KMAT application form:

  1. Do not press the back button or refresh the page while making the payment. The incomplete transaction will lead to an incomplete registration process.

  2. Enter the correct communication address.

  3. Do not delete e-mails and SMS mentioning the details of the KMAT registration ID and password.

  4. Ensure downloading the submitted application form and get a printout of the same for future reference.

  5. Ensure the photograph and signatures are within the set limits and dimensions. Read the instructions given before uploading the documents.

Q:   I belong to a reserved category. Do I have to fill out a different KMAT application form?
A: 

No, candidates do not have to fill a different KMAT application form if they belong to a reserved category. The KMAT application form is the same for all categories across. Students will be required to select their category during the application process. Students should ensure that they have the necessary certificates during the admission process.

The conducting authority of KMAT Karnataka takes into consideration the category information provided by candidates while evaluating their applications. 

Q:   Who can apply for KMAT Karnataka?
A: 

Students who have passed graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate can apply for KMAT exam 2026. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category should have a minimum of 45%. 

Also, candidates must be 21 years of age during admissions.

Q:   Can the KMAT form correction be done after submission?
A: 

No, candidates cannot make change in KMAT application form once submitted. Candidates must review application form before submission. If there is an error, they must make the changes immediately.

How to Fill KMAT 2026 Application Form?

  • Open KMAT India website
  • Click KMAT 2026 Application
  • Click on Register and fill details such as name, date of birth, e-mail, phone number, and country to register for Karnataka KMAT 2026.
  • On successful registration, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number that candidates need to enter in space provided

  • Students will receive their application number and password on their registered mobile number and email ID.

Login to fill KMAT application form 

Students need to log in with their KMAT details i.e. Application Number and Password to fill the form. The details to be filled in the application form are:

  • Students must fill their names as mentioned on their official documents.

  • Students must select the appropriate option irrespective of the fact whether they are or aren't residents of Karnataka state.

  • Enter the date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format.

  • Select the appropriate category option, i.e., MBA or MCA.

  • Students need to specify the stream or discipline in which they have obtained the graduation degree.

  • Complete postal address and other communication details should be correctly mentioned in the space provided. Candidates should write their first name in CAPITAL LETTERS only.

KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

KMAT 2026 eligibility criteria is:

  • Students should have completed their graduation from a recognised university
  • They must have obtained a minimum 50 per cent or equivalent CGPA in the final year examination of their Bachelors degree.
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST category, minimum aggregate is 45 per cent or equivalent CGPA.
  • There is no age limit for Karnataka KMAT. But, candidates must be at least 21 years old at the time of admission.

KMAT 2026 will likely be held in the first week of September 2026 for session 1. The exam will be conducted in the home-based online remote proctored mode.

No, the only way to pay the KMAT registration fee is through online fee payment method. Candidates can use a credit card, debit card, internet banking, UPI, or other banking wallets. There is no provision to pay the application fee offline in cash or through DD. Candidates should have the online banking details before registering for the exam.

Q:   Is the KMAT application fee refundable?
A: 

KMAT application fee is not refundable. After student has paid KMAT application fee, authorities will not refund fee under any circumstances. Even if they do not appear for KMAT exam.

Q:   Can the KMAT application form and fee be paid with a gap?
A: 

Yes, when candidates are applying for KMAT they do not have to fill form and pay application fee in one go. However, they have to pay the application within a few days of filling KMAT registration form. Candidates must note that a completely filled application form without application fee will be rejected.

Q:   In how many cities KMAT exam is held?
A: 

KMAT exam is conducted in multiple cities in the state of Karnataka. Major cities of KMAT Karnataka include, Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, Belgaum, Hubli, Dharwad, Gulbarga, Shimoga, Davanagere, Bellary and Bijapur. These cities are selected to provide convenient access to candidates from different regions of the state. 

Candidates appearing for the KMAT exam can choose only one test centre according to their preference. Candidates need to register themselves on the official website of KMAT and while filling the KMAT application form, candidates will get the option to choose one of the KMAT test cities. 

Q:   Can a foreign national apply for the KMAT exam?
A: 

Yes, students from any region in the world can apply for the KMAT exam. Being a citizen of India to appear for the KMAT Karnataka exam is not mandatory. Candidates can apply for KMAT irrespective of their locality status/residential address. Earlier, KMAT eligibility as prescribed by KPPGCA, stated that only candidates residing in Karnataka can apply for the exam. KPPGCA has removed the domicile criteria now.

Q:   Can anyone apply for KMAT?
A: 

A candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks. Aspirants of KMAT 2026 must carefully go through the KMAT application form instructions to register for the state-level entrance exam.

Q:   Do reserved category candidates get a fee concession in KMAT?
A: 

No, there is no fee concession on registration fee. The conducting body, KPPGCA, offers the same application fee for candidates belonging to the reserved categories, such as SC/ST as for the unreserved category. This year, the application fee for KMAT is INR 850, which includes GST.

No, it is not compulsory to take KMAT for joining MBA colleges in Karnataka. Nut KMAT is widely accepted by the top Bschools in Karnataka. Students can also opt for MBA entrance exams such as Karnataka PGCET, CAT, XAT, etc.
