Every student wants to get his desired college to study. But what if your exam doesn’t go well, what if you don’t get your desired college. Now you have two options, either to drop out a year or to study in any other private college. You can drop a year if you think you still have great potential to overcome your weakness and want to learn something new.
You can drop if you have some confidence that you can score good marks in that paper. But if you think you are not able to crack the exam again then also there’s nothing to worry about. If you had a low score in JEE Main then still you can wait for spot rounds. You can apply for spot round after all rounds get over in normal counseling. In spot round, authorities allot seats to those students who are present at the time when a few seats remain empty in many colleges.
Explore colleges based on JEE Main
Other than this, there are several other entrance exams for which you can apply such as IPU-CET, BITSAT, MANIPAL-MET, WBJEE and there are many other colleges for which you can apply for admission without the need of your JEE score. If you score well in IPU-CET then go to allotted college, you can still do better in these colleges, as it all depends on your skills and not on your college degree.
It’s totally worth it if you took admission in any of the private colleges that I listed above. There are many instances when students have been found doing better in private colleges such as colleges of IPU than that of an IITian or NITian. For your information, this year IPU holds the fourth position including all the IITs, NITs, IIITs and other top colleges in India in cracking GSOC (one of the internships that are held globally by Google) and it’s a very rare achievement.
So, now you don’t have to waste your time on deciding what is right and what is wrong. Instead, take admission and start doing hard work which makes you even better than students of IITs and NITs. Many private colleges hold their own exams and have specific dates for them. You can refer to the Shiksha website more for this, where you can get to know about all things on a single site.
