CUET PG 2027 Counselling Process
The candidates should understand that Registration is the first stage for participating in the Counselling process. The students have to complete registration by providing basic details and uploading documents. Based on registration, a merit list is released. Only those students whose names feature in the merit list will be eligible for the CUET PG counselling process.
Usually, CUET PG participating institutes conduct three rounds of counselling. The number of rounds depends on the availability of seats. The counselling process will be conducted till all seats are filled. Therefore, candidates should check the seat matrix before each round and participate as many times as possible to earn admission to their preferred university and course.

Documents Required for CUET PG 2027 Counselling
Below is the list of documents that are required by the participating universities for CUET counselling process:

CUET PG 2027 Merit List
The CUET PG merit list is important for candidates who are planning to pursue postgraduate admission in one of the participating central, state, private and/or other universities in India. NTA does not release a centralised merit list. The NTA will release the scorecards and just provide scores to the participating universities, which will then build their own CUET PG merit list 2027 from candidates' CUET PG scores and any potential admission criteria the participating universities use to identify suitable candidates. For example, subject-wise scores, category-wise reservation, etc., and there could be additional eligibility criteria.
As a result, for candidates looking to check the CUET PG merit list for a particular programme, they will need to visit the university websites they applied to. The individual universities will then outline their counselling schedule and release details of their merit lists based on the CUET PG 2027 scores across different PG programmes. The merit lists will consist of the names of candidates shortlisted for the admissions process. They have to check the website of the University or institutions they are applying at, for the latest updates about admissions and their merit lists.
To view the CUET PG merit list for a specific programme, they have to visit the websites of those universities to which they have applied. Such universities would announce their counselling schedule and publish the merit lists for various postgraduate programmes based on CUET PG scores.
CUET PG 2027 Passing Marks
The CUET PG exam is conducted once a year to provide admission to master's and professional degree programs in around 198 participating universities, and about 157 subjects. When the exam results are released, candidates are hopeful about their possible admission, as they are informed about what a good score or the qualifying marks are for the universities they have applied to. The CUET PG Passing Marks depend on the chosen course and university. However, test takers can get some idea of the generally expected and analysis-based CUET PG passing marks listed below.
Students must note that NTA does not release the qualifying marks or pass marks for CUET PG. It generally depends on the universities.

The counselling process for CUET PG will be held separately for different participating universities under the CUET PG Examination for eligible session. Therefore, the CUET PG Counselling Rounds are not specific to any number. Depending on the availability of vacant seats at that particular university of any course, the CUET PG counselling rounds will vary.
The seats for many of the courses might get vacant because the candidates got upgraded to other courses or might leave the seat, which causes the conduction of one more round, which is called CUET PG Spot Round/ Spot Counselling/ Spot Round.

The National Testing Agency will release the CUET PG 2027 exam information bulletin in December 2026. With its release, the CUET PG 2027 application form will also be available for the candidates.
The candidates should note that there will be 157 subjects in the CUET PG application form. The National Testing Agency can add the number of subjects in case the participating Universities add new courses.
The candidates will be able to opt for 20 subjects in one application form.
NTA removed Part A from the CUET PG exam in 2025. As per the latest exam pattern, the NTA ask only subject-related questions in the CUET PG exam.

CUET PG 2027 application form has not yet been released by NTA. Based on previous year's timeline, National Testing Agency is expected to begin the application process by the end of second week of December 2026.
NTA will generate the CUET PG score card, and no separate merit list will be announced. It will share the scorecards with the participating institutes. They will conduct the counselling process separately. During this process, the universities will release separate merit lists.
After the CUET PG 2027 result is declared, the Participating Universities will separately release their merit list or shortlisted candidates' list who are selected to participate in the counselling process for that college. Candidates will then have to register and pay the requiste or asked registration fee for admission and visit the institution's campus with the list of documents. Some of the universities or institutes may conduct interviews for some specific courses.
