NIRF Engineering Ranking 2023: The Minister of State for Education and External Affairs, Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, released the NIRF Engineering Ranking 2023 on June 5, 2023. Like previous years, this year also, IIT Madras retained the number one position under the ‘Engineering College’ category for the eighth consecutive year. The NIRF Rankings 2023 includes the Overall, Universities, Colleges, Research Institutions, Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Dental, Law, Architecture and Planning, Agriculture and, Allied sectors and Innovation categories. NIRF Engineering Ranking 2023: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras again retained the top position in the NIRF Engineering Ranking 2023. The institute also ranked Number 1 in the ‘Overall Institutes’ category. The IITs have bagged the top 8 positions in the NIRF Rankings 2023 of the Top Engineering Institutes in India. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2023 were released by the Minister of State for Education and External Affairs, Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, on June 5, 2023.

IIT Delhi is ranked 2nd, followed by IIT Bombay at 3rd, IIT Kanpur at 4th, IIT Roorkee at 5th, IIT Kharagpur at 6th, and IIT Guwahati at 7th position. IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Guwahati maintained their positions from last year in the latest ranking. However, IIT Kharagpur has dropped a position and is now ranking 6th. NIT Tiruchirapalli and Jadav University have made the top 10 list of engineering colleges by bagging ranks 9 and 10, respectively. All-India rankings of institutions in 13 categories are available now at nirfindia.org. To get admission in IITs, candidates have to qualify JEE Mains and appear in the JEE Advanced exam.
Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa) is one of the best colleges available in India. It was established in 2016 by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (GoI). The college was established as an institute of national importance. Indian Institute of Technology Goa through seven schools of study, offers courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The courses are offered across Engineering and various other streams. Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa) is visited by top companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and others. The accepted entrance exms are JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, and others. NIRF Rankings 2023 Vs 2022
After the comparison, we come to know that IIT Roorkee gained one position and ranked 5th in 2023, while IIT Kharagpur slipped one position and ranked 6th.. Whereas in 2022, IIT Roorkee was at 6th and IIT Kharagpur at 5th. Further, in 2023, Hyderabad gained one position and ranked 9th, whereas IIT Tiruchirappalli slipped one position and ranked 9th. In 2022, IIT Hyderabad was ranked in the 9th position, and IIT Tiruchirappalli was in the 8th position. This year, Jadavpur University ranked 10th, but last year it was not in the top 10. In 2022, it was ranked in the 11th position. In 2022, the National Institute of Technology Surathkal was in the 10th position. IIT Dharwad is ranked 77 by NIRF 2025 under the Engineering category. Candidates with a rank between 1 and 1,00,000 will be eligible for admissions into the VIT Vellore/Chennai/Bhopal/Andhra Pradesh campuses. About NIRF Ranking
NIRF stands for National Institutional Ranking Framework. It was approved and launched by the Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on September 29, 2015. During the BITSAT counselling process, the candidates will be able to apply for admissions into the three campuses of BITS - Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. The details regarding the BITS campuses and their number of seats will be released online by the authorities. Eligible candidates will have to fill out their choice of campus and course in the order of preference while filling out the BITSAT counselling form. Allotment will be done for the BITSAT qualified candidates and board toppers.
