CLAT PG Exam 2026: Admission Process, Registration, Exam Date
CLAT LLM 2026: The Consortium has published the CLAT LLM Third Merit List 2026 on February 5, 2026. Candidates must note that the CLAT Counselling Process is completely online. Candidates who opted for float option during second round will be able to participate in CLAT Third Allotment Round 2026. The Consortium has released the CLAT Merit Lists on consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
The Consortium has put the CLAT UG Counselling Process 2026 on hold until further notice. It must be noted that only those candidates who have registered for CLAT Counselling 2026 will be allowed to participate. Candidates could complete CLAT Counselling Registration 2026 until December 27, 2025. Earlier, the consortium released the CLAT Result 2026.

CLAT PG 2026 Cutoff: Uses of CLAT Score
The CLAT PG 2026 cutoff is the minimum marks a candidate secures for admission to the LLM course at 19 NLUs across the country. The CLAT PG Cutoff will be released category-wise and will be announced separately for the NLUs. Candidates must meet the required cutoff criteria for the applied NLU or institute to be considered for admission. Candidates who fail to meet the cutoff will not be considered eligible for the admission process.
CLAT PG scores are used not only for LLM admissions but also for recruitment at Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). Those who appear for CLAT LLM hold a chance of recruitment in legal positions at top PSUs such as Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).
The Consortium of NLUs has begun CLAT Counselling Process 2026. The counselling process of CLAT will be conducted in online mode on the official website of Consortium of NLUs; i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac. The Counselling Process will be held in five rounds.
There will be five rounds of counselling. During CLAT 2025 Admission, the number of rounds were reduced to three. But until then the CLAT Counselling use to be of five rounds only.

The consortium released the CLAT PG 2026 answer key on December 10 at 5:00 pm on the website- consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The Consortium closed the CLAT 2026 Application process on November 7, 2025. Candidates were allowed to make corrections in the CLAT 2026 Application form till November 9.

How to fill CLAT PG Application Form 2026?
Candidates can submit the application form of CLAT 2026 by following the simple steps given below:
- Registration - The candidate can register by entering their name, mobile number, and email id. Also, select and confirm a password for the newly created applicant account.
- Login - Log in to access the application form.
- Select the program of study - After logging in, the first thing is to select the program of study one-year LLB
- Fill the form - There will be different fields like personal information, communication details, qualifying examination status, exam centre preferences (THREE centres can be selected in the order of preference), and reservation. All fields need to be filled. Check what all documents need to be uploaded in the prescribed specification (refer to the table below).

Additionally, candidates should have their LLB graduation certificates (for CLAT LLM only). They must present the details from these documents. However, admission and CLAT PG counselling 2026 are the only times when the original documents and certifications are needed; otherwise, admission will not be granted.
5. Submit the form - Once the details are duly filled, agree to the declaration, give consent and submit the form.
6. Pay the application fee - In the last step, pay the application fee (which is category-specific) in online mode using credit or debit cards, or net banking. Note that in addition to the exam fee, candidates will have to pay an additional INR 500 if they want to opt for previous years' question papers.

The Consortium of NLUs enabled the facility to update test centre preferences. To update their categories and test centres, candidates have to follow the steps to edit CLAT application as under:

The AIL LET Exam is comparatively easier than the CLAT. While CLAT is held for NLUs, the AIL LET Exam is only for Army Institute of Law. Hence, the competition and difficutly level is bit less.
