AIMA conducts MAT in four phases – February, June, September and December. In each phase, one CBT and one PBT mode exam is conducted. The score is accepted by over 800 MBA colleges in India. The examination body has announced exam schedule for May 2026 session. MAT May 2026 exam will be held on March 31 in PBT mode and on June 14 in CBT mode. Registration process for the same has started. The fee has been hiked. MAT Exam Eligibility Criteria

  • The minimum eligibility criteria for MAT is graduation.
  • There is no minimum percentage requirement. Candidates with passing marks are eligible.
  • Final year graduation students can also apply
  • Candidates having CACS or ICWA degree can also appear for the exam

MAT 2026 application form for CBT and PBT is available in online mode only. Check below the process to apply for the exam.

  • Open AIMA MAT website i.e. mat.aima.in
  • Click on Register option
  • Enter basic details and password to register
  • Use OTP received on phone to verify phone number
  • Log in to fill the application form
  • Pay fee amount of INR 2200
  • Select exam mode and test cities
  • Upload photo and signature
  • Select 5 colleges for shortlist

MAT Application Fee 2026

MAT application fee is to be paid via debit/credit card or net banking. The fee is non-refundable and in case of re-registration, candidates have to pay the fee again.

MAT is overall an easy exam, but if you compare the sections, usually the Quantitative Aptitude is considered tougher than rest of the four sections, due to calculation intensive questions.

All the MAT sections have same weightage, i.e. 30 questions and 30 marks. So candidates must keep in mind to prepare each section properly and poor performance in one section can affect overall score.
