Assam CEE 2026: Dates, Registration, Pattern, Syllabus, Eligibility, Admission Process

If the candidates fail to qualify Assam CEE then they should not feel discouraged. ASTU conducts Assam CEE annually and the candidates can always prepare and opt to attempt the entrance examination next year. As long as the minimum eligibility criteria is met the candidates will be able to apply and attempt Assam CEE next year. By preparing ahead, the candidates will have higher chances of securing good marks in the entrance examination. Candidates are advised to not give up hope and attempt again next year.

Assam CEE merit list may be released online. Authorities will prepare merit list based on Assam CEE result to select candidates for admissions. Along with ranks obtained in exam, authorities will also consider different factors to prepare merit list. Based on merit list, candidates will be allotted into their preferences.

Authorities will conduct Assam CEE at various cities across state. Exam centres will be located in nine cities, Guwahati, Jorhat, Nagaon, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Bongaigaon, Lakhimpur, Tezpur and Nalbari. While filling Assam CEE application form, candidates will be able to select their preferred exam cities. As per preferences, authorities will allot Assam CEE exam centres and candidates will be able to check it on admit card.

Assam CEE exam pattern will be released online. Examination will be of 3 hours. During exam, candidates will have to answer 120 objective questions. No extra time will be given to candidates to complete examination.

Authorities have not announced any facility regarding the corrections in Assam CEE application form. Candidates should be careful while filling application form of Assam CEE. No requests will be accepted by the authorities to make changes in application form.

Yes. Assam CEE syllabus is similar to the 12th board qualifying examination syllabus. The authorities conduct Assam CEE as per the the latest syllabus of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council/NCERT. The units and topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Assam CEE is similar to the ones that the students study in the 11th and 12th standard qualifying examination.

Candidates are advised to not be stressed as more or less all of the concepts and units will be covered across the subjects in the official Assam CEE syllabus. While the official syllabus can be followed since it is similar to the 11th and 12th standard syllabus, the candidates are also advised to refer to books and materials that will allow them to gain more insight and explanation about the topics that are to be studied.

Students can consider Assam CEE syllabus to be moderate to tough in the terms of difficulty level. Since the subjects, units and topics of Assam CEE are syllabus to the 11th and 12th standard qualifying exam, the students are expected to have previously studied it. The syllabus consists of the topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. During the preparation process, the students are advised to check the syllabus and referred books. The additional books will allow the students to have a higher understanding of the syllabus.

Assam CEE will be held as an offline test. Paper will have 120 objective questions. Candidates will have to answer 40 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Students will not be given any additional questions.

The authorities will release official marking details through Assam CEE exam pattern. Candidates will be given four marks for every correct answer. If they have marked an incorrect answer, then the authorities will deduct one mark. Unattempted questions will not be marked.

The authorities will release Assam CEE admit card online at astu.ac.in. Candidates will have to log in using their application form number and password to access the Assam CEE admit card. No other mode will be used by the authorities to make the Assam CEE hall ticket available. All registered candidates will have to access and download the admit card of Assam CEE to gain entry into the exam centre and attempt the paper.

If candidates fail to bring Assam CEE admit card at the centre, then exam authorities will not allow them to appear for test. Candidates should print out and take admit card to the centre. Along with admit card, candidates should also bring their photo identity proof at centre. 

In case of wrong information in the admit card, candidates have to immediately contact the Assam CEE admission office or contact the Assam CEE Helpdesk. Therefore, the candidates are advised to check the Assam CEE 2025 admit card very carefully after it is downloaded. All of the incorrect information has to be correct immediately so that the candidates do not face any issues at the centre on the examination date.

Candidates can calculate their obtained marks in the entrance examination using Assam CEE answer key. First, candidates will have to download the model answer key of Assam CEE and compare it to their responses. Next, official marking scheme has to be followed to calculate marks secured in exam. Final calculated marks will be probable marks secured in the exam.

No. The authorities will not release the individual Assam CEE response sheet. While calculating their probable secured marks using the Assam CEE answer key, the candidates will have to rely on their memory-based responses that they have submitted during the exam. If the authorities release the candidate's response sheet, then the official notification will be announced online at astu.ac.in. The individual responses are important to calculate the probable scores secured in the exam.

Candidates will be able to raise objections against the provisional Assam CEE answer key online at astu.ac.in. To access the objection facility, the candidates will have to login using their application number. Along with the objections, the candidates will also have to submit the corresponding proof. For every objection, the candidates will have to pay INR 300 online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. It is to be noted that the fee will be refunded if the objection is accepted. 

If candidates are not satisfied with Assam CEE result, they can contact official authorities. No requests are accepted to review exam scores. But students can contact authorities to let them know about their problems.

Candidates should check details present in Assam CEE result carefully before downloading it. Some important details present in Assam CEE result are the obtained marks and ranks. If any mistakes in result, candidates should immediately contact authorities. Authorities will not accept any requests for review of the Assam CEE marks and ranks.

If two or more candidates score the same marks in entrance examination, then authorities will refer to the tie breaking guidelines to prepare Assam CEE ranks. If there is tie, candidates who have a higher aggregate marks in 12th class PCM will be given higher rank. If tie still remains, candidate with a higher overall aggregate in PCM and English in 12th class will be given a higher rank.

Assam CEE counselling form will be available online. To be registered for Assam CEE counselling, they have to log in using their roll number and date of birth. After logging in, candidates have to check and correct their basic details, if necessary. They will also have to upload scanned documents and fill their choice of courses and colleges in order of preference. Finally, candidates will have to pay counselling fee online.

While registering for Assam CEE counselling, candidates will have to pay fee. Assam CEE counselling fee is INR 800. All candidates will have to pay counselling fee of Assam CEE through net banking/credit card/debit card. Authorities will not accept any other mode of payment. If candidates cannot pay before final date, then they will not be allowed to participate in counselling.

Assam CEE counselling will be conducted by the authorities of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam. Since  Assam Science & Technological University (ASTU) is only responsible for the application, examination and result process, DTE will be responsible for the counselling and seat allotment process. All details regarding the Assam CEE counselling will be prepared and released by the authorities of DTE Assam online.

Assam CEE result is an important document. During Assam CEE counselling and seat allotment, candidates will have to bring their result or marksheet.

Assam CEE result will be valid for one year. If candidates apply for admission after one year based on their current result, then they will be disqualified. After results are announced, they will have to register for counselling and admission in the same year.

Assam CEE exam pattern will consist of the details regarding how the examination will be conducted by the authorities. According to the official Assam CEE exam pattern, the entrance examination will be held offline i.e., as a pen-and-paper-based test. During the 3 hour duration, the candidates will have to answer objective multiple-choice questions from topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. For every correct answer, 4 marks will be alloted. The authorities will deduct one mark for every wrong answer.

Since deciding factors are numerous, Assam CEE cutoff will differ for every course, category and college selected by candidates.
