Common Law Admission Test 2027 ( CLAT )
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Consortium of NLUs. The CLAT Exam is held in offline mode from 2 pm to 4 pm for admission to 25 NLUs and other participating universities. The CLAT 2027 Registration will start on August 1, 2026. Before that, the CLAT Notification will be published.

Though CLAT Preparation takes months of practice, it is still not impossible. You can prepare for the CLAT Exam in one week with a correct and dedicated focus. But you should have at least some understanding of concepts to clear the exam.
See, it doesn't matter that you fill the form through laptop or phone. What matters is you fill the form. Yes, you should have good network connection and internet speed. It should not happen that you have filled the form and when you reach the last step you loose the connection. So what is important is network connection not the phone or laptop to fill the application form.
You don't have to worry. In case you have forgotten your ID and password, which is pretty much normal. You can go and click on the forgot password tab in the registration window. You will receive the mail and then you have to reset your password. Once day you will be able to login.
In CLAT Exam there will be 120 questions. The exam paper will be in MCQ format. Candidates will get 120 minutes to complete the paper. Since there is a negative marking candidates must attempt carefully.

CLAT Application Process 2027

Candidates must note that there is no provision to complete the registration in offline mode. The CLAT Registration will likely close on October 30, 2026. Candidates can follow the simple steps given below to fill out the CLAT Application Form

- After logging in, select the program of study 5-year LLB or one-year LLB
- Start by entering personal information, communication details, qualifying examination status, exam centre preferences and reservation. Check what all documents should be uploaded and their prescribed specification below.

- Submit the form - Once the details are duly filled, agree to the declaration, give consent and submit the form.
- Pay the application fee - Submit the application fee using credit/ debit cards or net banking. Note that in addition to the exam fee, students will have to pay an additional INR 500 if they want to opt for previous years' question papers.

How to make corrections in the CLAT Application Form?
Students can make changes in the CLAT Application by following the steps given below
- Click on the application correction link
- Log in using your mobile number and password
- Click on the Edit Application button
- Make the required changes, and click on the Next button

CLAT is not directly based on the NCERT curriculum, but NCERT books act as a strong foundational resource for Quantitative Techniques and basic static GK. Candidates appearing for board exams can prepare for CLAT side by side.
The Consortium has not announced the last date to submit the CLAT Application Form yet. However, once the application process starts it mostly remain opens for three months. This gives candidates sufficient time to complete it and submit.

CLAT 2027 Question Paper Highlights & Syllabus
The CLAT 2027 UG examination paper will carry questions in Multiple Choice Questions Format. As per the CLAT Marking Scheme, one mark will be awarded for each correct answer, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer
CLAT Question Paper 2027 will carry different sections like GK, Mathematics, English, Legal & Logical Reasoning. The UG CLAT syllabus and PG CLAT syllabus are completely different.

The Consortium of NLUs conducts the CLAT Exam from 2 pm to 4 pm. The exam is held only in one slot. There are no shifts in CLAT Exam. The exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode.
Candidates must note that the CLAT 2027 Admit Card will not be sent by post. In order to get the CLAT Hall Ticket, students must visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Download your admit card. Do check the hall ticket for discrepancies. In case there is any error, reach out to the CLAT helpdesk.
There is no option to make changes in the CLAT admit card. Details printed on the candidate's hall ticket will be final and non-editable. Yes, candidate can challenge CLAT Answer Key. The Consortium will release the provisional answer key for CLAT first after which it will open a window to invite objections. After receiving the objection, the final CLAT answer key was published. Note that, unlike the provisional key, the final key can't be challenged. So, the keys included in the final keys will be considered the correct keys for questions asked in the CLAT exam.
Candidates must note that CLAT 2027 Objection Window will open once the answer key is released. Candidates can raise objection on CLAT Answer Key on or before the last date. Once the objections are received, the consortium will publish the CLAT Final Answer Key. Based on that, the CLAT Result will be announced.
