GATE 2025 Registrations begin tomorrow. IIT Roorkee has released the GATE application form dates, process, and registration fees. Candidates can find detailed information about the GATE application form here. 

GATE 2025 Application Form

 

IIT Roorkee will begin the GATE online registrations tomorrow (August 24, 2024). Candidates who want to apply can visit the official website- gate2025.iitr.ac.in and complete the application form online. The Gratitude Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) will be conducted on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, at several centres in more than 200 cities/towns in India. 

GATE 2025 Application Form: Instructions to Follow 

The GATE registration window will remain open from August 24, 2024, to September 26, 2024 (without late fees) and till October 7, 2024 (with late fees). The mode of the application form is online. Before applying, candidates must follow the necessary instructions, such as - 

  • Check the internet connectivity to avoid any interruption 
  • GATE does not accept multiple application forms. Therefore, the applicant must submit only one application form, even if they appear for two papers.  
  • Keep all the documents ready and according to the specifications provided by the conducting body. 
  •  Keep a copy of the GATE application form 2025 and payment receipt for future purposes. 

How to Apply for GATE 2025? 

The steps to register for GATE 2025 are as follows - 

  • Visit the official website and click on the application link 
  • Click on “New Registration” and provide necessary details 
  • Upload the required documents 
  • Make the payment of the application fees  
  • Download and save a copy for later 

GATE 2025 Application Fees 

The GATE application fee for female/SC/ST/PwD candidates is INR 900, and for all other candidates is INR 1800. An additional late fee of INR 500 (regular registration fee) will be charged for registration with late payments.  

Important Documents Required for GATE 2025 Application 

Candidates must keep the following documents ready for the GATE application form 2025

  • Recent passport-size photograph 
  • Scanned copies of the documents (if applicable) - category certificate, PwD certificate, and certificate of Dyslexia in PDF format 
  • A valid photo ID proof, such as an Aadhar card, Voter ID, Passport, or PAN card. Candidates must note that the photo ID must have the candidate’s name, date of birth, and unique ID number.  

GATE is a national-level test conducted for aspirants to pursue higher education, such as M.Tech, M.Arch, etc.

Q:   Can I join IISc without JEE Main?

IISC Bangalore accepts JEE Main score for BTech admission 2024. The university has different admission criteria as per course requirement. IISc Bangalore offers a four-year BTech in Mathematics and Computing divided into eight semesters. The course is divided into two parts, i.e., Core Courses and Soft Core Courses.

Q:   Which exam score is accepted for IIT Bombay admissions for the M.Tech course?
A:

IIT Bombay accepts GATE score for admission to MTech course. Candidates must have a BE/ BTech/ BSc/ Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning/ MSc/ MCA/ MBBS/ MPharm/ BPharma/ BDS/ degree recognised equivalent to BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category). For MTech General-All India, cut offs for GATE 2024 closed off at score 600 for MTech in Chemical Engineering and 750 for Computer Science and Engineering. Similarly, for MTech in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, the GATE score closed off on 650
