How to Evaluate GATE Scores using the Response Sheet and Question Paper?
To calculate the GATE scores, candidates must understand and know about the marking scheme; using the following marking pattern, candidates can calculate their probable scores -
- For a one-mark MCQ, a 1/3 mark is deducted for an incorrect answer.
- On the other hand, for a two-mark MCQ, a 2/3 mark is deducted for the wrong answer.
- There is no negative marking for MSQ and NAT-type questions.
The formula to calculate the GATE scores is as follows -
GATE Score = Total marks obtained for correct attempts - Negative marks for incorrect attempts
After reviewing all the objections, IIT Roorkee will release the GATE 2025 final answer key. Once the final answer key is released, it cannot be reevaluated or challenged. The GATE 2025 results will be released on March 19, 2025.
