Karnataka Examination Authority have declared the results for KCET 2018 today, June 1. KCET 2018 results are available online on the official website of KEA in a downloadable format. Candidates can check their scores and rank by submitting their registration number. Earlier, the exam results were to be declared on May 30. However, KEA has now announced the exam results. The authorities will also release final answer keys and counselling schedule for the exam in due time.

Shridhar Dodamani from Vijayapura emerged as the first topper in the engineering common entrance test. He is followed by Natayan Pai from Dakshina Kannada district who bagged the second rank. Tuhin Girinath bagged the fourth rank and is also a topper from Bengaluru. Aneeta James emerged as the only girl topper from Bengaluru and lands on firth position in KCET 2018.

KCET 2018 result comprise the overall and subject-wise marks scored by the respective candidate. KCET 2018 results have been announced only for those candidates who have successfully cleared the examination.

Steps to check KCET 2018 results online

Step 1: Visit the official website kea.kar.nic.in

Step 2: Click on “CET 2018” link

Step 3: Enter your KCET 2018 registration number as allotted by the board at the time of registrations

Step 4: Click on submit and your KCET 2018 results will be displayed on the screen.

Candidates are requested to download and take a print out of their KCET 2018 score card. The same is to be preserved for future reference.    

Soon after the provisional answer keys for the exam were released, KEA requested candidates to submit their class XII board exam results. These results were further used to evaluate and prepare KCET 2018 results. The online window to submit the board exam marks was made available for candidates from May 16. 

The authorities will also release a cut off list of qualified candidates which will be available on the official website. The cut off list is prepared on the basis of candidate’s performance and score in the KCET exam. KCET 2018 cut off list is the basis of the candidate’s eligibility to be able to attend the exam counselling. Only those candidates who manage to score a rank equal to the KCET cut off list are permitted to attend the counselling process.

KCET 2018 counselling is set to commence from June 5. KEA will then begin with the choice filling and registration process online. KCET counselling comprise the document verification and seat allotment process. Candidates with their names in the cut off list of qualified candidates will receive the call letters to participate in the exam counselling.

Candidates will be asked to produce their documents and pass certificates while appearing for the counselling process. On failing to produce the same, the candidate will not be allowed to participate in the counselling process under any normal circumstances. The process of allocation of seats will be held online and subjected to the candidate’s score in KCET 2018 and preferred choices. The final list of candidates will be published on the official website of KEA.
