The GUJCET 2026 exam was widely rated as moderate in terms of overall difficulty. While Physics and Mathematics provided a significant challenge due to their conceptual depth and lengthy calculations, Chemistry and Biology were considered more manageable and scoring.

GUJCET 2026 Answer Keys - Official
GSEB will release GUJCET answer key 2026 after exam is conducted. First, authorities will release provisional answer key, followed by GUJCET 2026 final answer key PDF. Candidates who wish to object against the GUJCET answer key 2026 will have to email their objections along with all necessary information to gujcetkey @ gmail.com. The final answer key will be released by the exam authority following a review of all complaints. By referring to the final answer key, the candidates will be able to determine the total number of questions correctly answered and their approximate score. How to Challenge GUJCET Answer Key 2026?
Check below the process to challenge the GUJCET 2026 answer keys:
- To challenge the answer key, GSEB releases a form
- Fill the formats per the instructions mentioned in it
- In the form, mention the question paper number and the question number, which a candidate want to challenge
- For every question, a candidate has to pay a fee of Rs.500/- through e-challan
- After filling the form and completing the payment formalities, email it to the gujcetkey@gmail.com
- Also, provide Bank account number, Bank Name, IFSC Code, and Bank Branch
- After a few days, GSEB authorities will release GUJCET's final answer key 2026.
- If the challenging question is found correct, then the candidate will get a refund of the amount in the bank account

What is GUJCET?
The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) is a state-level entrance test conducted to shortlist candidates for admission into B.Tech and B.Pharm programs are offered by various colleges in Gujarat. The exam is conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB). The allotment of seats is done based on scores obtained in the entrance exam.
Changes in the GUJCET exam over the years
As per the official announcement from the exam body last year, two new changes were brought in. They are as follows:
- Marks in subjects other than Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12 will also be considered for preparing the merit list.
- Out of total seats in government colleges, 5 percent of seats will be filled through JEE Main 2026 score, while the remaining 95 percent of seats will be filled through GUJCET 2026.

Five-Year Exam Analysis (2021-2025)
From 2021 to 2025, GUJCET has consistently maintained a moderate to difficult level. The question papers follow GSEB and NCERT syllabi. As shared by students during the exam analysis, the Maths section is considered the most challenging and time-consuming. It is lengthy and heavily focuses on Calculus (35% weightage), 3D Geometry, and Vectors.
Physics is generally moderate to difficult level, with high weightage on Electromagnetism, Optics, and Modern Physics. The question paper is evolved to become more conceptual and application-based.
On the other hand, Chemistry is easy, 90% of the questions are from NCERT textbooks, based on Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry.
For Pharmacy aspirants, Biology section remains straightforward and questions are focused on Human and Plant Physiology.
GUJCET 2026 Highlights
The Gujarat Common Entrance Test is held for admission to UG Degree Engineering and UG Degree/ Diploma Pharmacy Courses in Gujarat State. GUJCET is held in pen and paper mode across various districts of Gujarat. The exam has three papers - paper 1 is physics and chemistry, paper 2 is biology and paper 3 is Maths. The candidates opting for engineering admission have to attempt papers 1 and 3. Students opting for Degree/ Diploma Pharmacy admission have to attempt papers 1 and 2. The GUJCET exam is based on the NCERT-based syllabus adopted by GSEB for the class 12 Science stream.

GUJCET 2026 Exam Pattern: Marking Scheme and Time Duration
The GSEB prescribes the GUJCET exam pattern. The pattern consists of sections, stages, time duration, marking scheme of the exam. The GUJCET 2026 exam pattern is published on the official website in a notification PDF, and the same can be checked here.
- GUJCET exam is conducted online as a pen-and-paper-based test.
- The total duration will be 3 hours.
- The question paper will be available in English, Gujarati and Hindi.
- The questions will be from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for the Engineering course. For the Pharmacy course, questions will be from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- The question paper will have a total of 120 multiple-choice questions, and 40 MCQs from each subject.

Each question carries one mark each. The total marks is 120. There is negative marking and 0.25 marks is deducted against each wrong attempt.

GUJCET Result 2026

The GUJCET result 2026 will be declared at its official website after the final answer key is out. To check the GUJCET result 2026, students need to enter their login credentials.

GUJCET 2026 Counselling
The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will conduct the GUJCET counselling 2026. The registration for GUJCET 2026 counselling will start after the results are declared. Candidates will be able to register for the GUJCET counselling 2026 online. Candidates with valid GUJCET 2026 scores will have to participate in the GUJCET counselling for B.Tech admission. The seat will be allotted to a candidate based on the scores in the GUJCET 2026 exam.
The complete counselling process is conducted online, and seat allotment is done on the basis of the merit list. GUJCET 2026 counselling process and seat allotment is conducted in two rounds. The first round allotment of seats is based on candidates' scores in GUJCET 2026, and the second round seat allotment is based on JEE Main 2026/GUJCET.

GUJCET 2026 Admit Card OUT
The GSEB has released the GUJCET hall ticket 2026. Candidates appearing in the GUJCET 2026 examination have to download their GUJCET 2026 admission card (Hall Ticket) from the board's website - gseb.org.
In addition, all higher secondary schools in the state with a science stream registered with the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board will be able to log in using their index number and registered mobile number, download the GUJCET admit card 2026 and distribute it to all the students.

Important Instructions for GUJCET 2026 candidates
GUJCET 2026 exam candidates have to carry the GUJCET admit card 2026 along with any photo ID proof (Aadhar card or driving license or original hall ticket of the class 12 exam) during the exam.
- No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination centre without the GUJCET 2026 admit card.
- The candidate must sit in the seat number mentioned on their GUJCET 2026 admit card as per the sitting arrangement of the respective examination hall
- The candidates shall enter the examination hall as per the schedule given on the admit card for each paper.
- After commencement of the examination, no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall under any circumstances.
