B Tech Aeronautical Engineering

• Students must have secured at least 60% marks in Class 10 & Class 12 and 60% in PCM for the Non-sponsored category.
• Eligibility will be relaxed by 5% for the Sponsored category.
• The total percentage will be calculated on the basis of marks scored in English & three academic subjects (excluding second language, Physical Education, Fine Arts, Performing Arts or any other Vocational /Non-Written subjects). Students must have passed all the subjects of Class 12 from a recognized board.

• Students must have completed Class 12 with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects, along with Chemistry/Electronics/Computer Science as one of the subjects.
• Students must score well in any of the entrance exams, including JET, JEE Main, Uni-GAUGE, and COMEDK UGET.

• Students must score really well in HITSEEE (Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Engineering Entrance Exam).

M Tech in Aeronautical Engineering

• Students must have secured at least 50% marks in B.E./ B.Tech (Aerospace /Civil /Mechanical /Mechatronics Engineering) or M.Sc. (Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology) and clear relevant entrance exams like GATE.

Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering

• Students must have passed Class 10 with at least 35 to 50% marks in the final examination. They must also have studied Science and Mathematics subjects.

BTech in Aeronautical Engineering

• Students must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate in the optional subjects of Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics, with English as one of the languages of study.
• Students should also qualify in the NITTE University Common Admission Test (NUCAT) 2025 for BTech.
• Candidates appearing for Class 12 examination are eligible to apply for NUCAT. However, he/she should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

PhD in Aeronautical Engineering

• Students must have completed a master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with at least 55% marks.
• A valid score in GATE or PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) is also required for admission.

• Students must score a minimum of 50-60 percent marks in aggregate in PCM in Class 12.
• Aeronautical Engineering courses are offered by many engineering colleges in India. The admission criteria for students include Class 12 board exam marks and JEE Main or other state-level/university-specific entrance tests.

• Students must have completed a BTech Aeronautical Engineering/ BE Aeronautical Engineering with a minimum of 55 percent marks.
• Several institution of Aeronautical Engineering accept GATE scores for admission to a master’s degree in the discipline.

For doctoral programs, candidates must have completed the Master's programme and cleared any research entrance test.

JEE Main Syllabus

The JEE Main syllabus revolves around three core subjects from Class 11 and Class 12: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each subject will have two sections, sections A and B.

Section A will have multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain numerical value questions. In Section B, students have to attempt any five questions out of 10, and there is no negative marking for Section B.

MHT CET Syllabus

MHT CET exam is of 300 marks which consists of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology of 100 marks each. It gives 20% weightage to the syllabus of Class 11 whereas 80% weightage to Class 12th syllabus. Therefore, its syllabus is slightly different from JEE Main with respect to the weightage of both exams. 

COMEDK UGET Syllabus

Similar to the syllabus of JEE Main, COMEDK UGET consists of three sections, Chemistry and Biology. Each section consists of 60 questions carrying 1 mark each.

Some of the important mark fetching areas are Calculus and 3D Geometry for Mathematics, Organic Chemistry and Electrochemistry for Chemistry and Thermodynamics, and Current for Physics

KEAM Syllabus

The KEAM syllabus comprises all three subjects Physics Chemistry & Mathematics. KEAM syllabus is based on class 11 and 12 examinations. The weightage of the subjects in KEAM will be 5:3:2 in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

GATE Syllabus

The syllabus for GATE varies across various disciplines and topics such as Verbal Ability and Numerical Ability are the common topics for all papers. Moreover, the syllabus for various specialisations is of graduation-level and candidates ability to solve reasoning and numerical questions are also tested through this examination.
