IITs	B Tech Civil Engineering	Students must have passed Class 12 from any recognized board with at least 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. Students should be among top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in B.E./B.Tech paper of JEE Main 2025. Qualifying JEE Advanced exam is also important. Students must have been born on or after October 1, 2000. Five years age relaxation is given to SC, ST, & PwD candidates, i.e. these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1995.
	M Tech in Civil Engineering	Students with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture from educational institutions approved by AICTE/ Government are eligible to apply, given they have scored at least 60% marks. Students with a B.Tech. Degree from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 and above can also apply without GATE score.
	PhD Civil Engineering	Students must have completed post-graduation in Civil Engineering or a related discipline with at least 55 to 65% marks. admission is based on score obtained in GATE exam.
NITs	B Tech Civil Engineering	Students must have passed Class 12 from any recognized board with at least 75% marks in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology subjects. There is no age limit for candidates.
	M Tech in Civil Engineering	Students must have passed Bachelor's degree with at least 60% marks.Students must secure 6.5 CGPA or 60% for GEN-EWS, whereas 6.0 CGPA or 55% in case of PwD candidates. They must have a valid GATE score of year 2023 / 2024 / 2025.
	PhD Civil Engineering	Students must have got 60% marks in M Tech in Civil Engineering/Mining/Mechanical/Agricultural Engineering. Students passed B.Tech (with valid GATE) in Civil/Mining/Mechanical/Agricultural/ Chemical Engineering with at least 75% marks under GEN/ OBC-NCL/ GEN-EWS category or 70% under SC/ ST/ PwD category are also eligible.

Civil Engineering Admisison 2026: General Eligibility

Diploma	It is a three-year civil diploma course that students can opt for after completing Class 10. aspirants must have passed Class 10 or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 45-50% marks each in Science and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. students must have also studied English as one of compulsory subjects.
UG	It is a four-year full-time undergraduate program divided into 8 semesters. Students must have at least passed Class 12 with 50 to 60% marks from any recognized central or state board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. admission process of BTech program is done through entrance exams such as - JEE Main, KCET, TNEA Counselling, MHCET, WBJEE, and other exams.
PG	It is a two-year full-time post-graduation program. Students must have passed a Civil Engineering Bachelor degree with a minimum percentage of 50 to 55% in aggregation of all subjects studied in undergraduate program. admissions are done through entrance exam such as - GATE score merit list.
PhD	Students must have completed MTech in Civil Engineering, with a minimum 55 to 65 percent aggregate.
