AEEE is usually rated moderate as compared to exams like JEE and BITSAT. Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) is the computer-based entrance test held for 10+2 passed candidates for admission in BTech courses offered by Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham. The AEEE 2026 phase 2 application forms will be available on the official website, aeee.amrita.edu, in April/May 2026, tentatively. The last date to apply for phase 2 exams will be in May 2026. Candidates who will have registered for phase 1 exams and wish to appear for phase 2 exams too will not need to register again for Phase 2. However, such candidates have to pay INR 600 to appear for phase 2 exams.

AEEE 2026 exam dates will be announced in October 2025, tentatively. The candidates can check the complete schedule of AEEE 2026 on the official website - amrita.edu.

The AEEE exam will be held twice - in February and then again in May. Candidates can appear for both phases or any one. The candidates who will appear for both hases thei admisison will be done based on the best score out both the phase.

The AEEE 2026 application form for phase 1 and phase 2 will be out in October 2025. Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form, and more than one application, i.e. multiple applications from a candidate, may get rejected. Candidates' names and their parents' names in the application form must exactly be the same as registered in the Class 12th/ equivalent qualifying Examination. Prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Fr/Dr/Mrs/Smt/Col etc. should not be used.  The candidates are advised not to send the hard copy of the online application to the university. However, the candidates are advised to retain a hard copy of the application, i.e. acknowledgement page, for future reference or correspondence.

The last date to apply for the AEEE 2026 phase 1 exam will be in January 2026, tentatively. The complete schedule for AEEE 2026 phase 1 and phase 2 exams is yet to be notified and is expected to be available in October 2025.

Yes, the candidate who will be appearing for 10+2 exam in 2025 can apply for AEEE 2025. The candidates must ensure that they have their 10+2 marks with them by the counselling process. Also, candidates must have minimum 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and not less than 55% in each of these three subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Candidates must be a pass in 10 + 2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination from a recognised board. Thy must have scored minimum 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Also, their score in 10+2 must not be less than 55% in each of these three subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Candidates have to contact the authorities of Amrita University in case they enter invalid email id in their AEEE application form. The candidates are advised to have their own personal and valid email ID and mobile number. No. The syllabus of AEEE is not same as JEE. Candidates must note that AEEE and JEE Mains are two different exam meant for different purposes. AEEE is conducted for admission to B.Tech courses in campuses of Amrita University while JEE Mains is conducted for admission to NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs.

In terms of syllabus, although both AEEE and Mains have class 11 and 12 topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, there are some topics which are a part of Mains syllabus but not in AEEE. Also, JEE main donot have english as one of the subjects, while AEEE includes english in their syllabus and exam. Also, the difficulty level of JEE is way ahead of AEEE. AEEE is held from a duration of 2 hours and 30 mins. The exam is held at various centres across the nation in computer based test mode. AEEE exam syllabus includes 10+2 level topics in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.

Maths has the maximum weightage in AEEE CBT exam. It carries a total of 120 marks. This section has 40 MCQs and each MCQ carries 3 marks. • Refer to Previous Years Question Papers and Attempt Mock Tests: The full prrof method to score well in AEEE is to practice a lot of questions. Previpous year question papers, mock tests and sample papers are the best way to get access to questions. Solving questions will lead to improved speed and accuracy.
• Solve As Many Numerical Problems as Possible: AEEE exam focuses on testing the candidates comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability. The questions asked in the three subjects of Physics Chemistry and Mathematics are of advanced level and focus on the application of the concepts rather than the concepts themselves.

Slots once confirmed cannot be changed in AEEE. The candidates must crosscheck the exam date and time before final submission. Candidates have to log in on the official website. After logging in, the candidates can select the test date and test slots based on availability. To choose the date, click on the available date and click the continue button. In the next screen, candidates will be prompted to select a test slot based on its availability status. Click the “Confirm Slot” button to confirm the booking. A slot once booked cannot be changed under any circumstances. Requests for change of test centres also will not be entertained. After downloading the admit card, candidates have to ensure that the data is printed as per the application form submitted by them. No. Candidates will not get the admit card in offline mode. The varsity will not send the AEEE admit card to any candidate individually via post, mail, etc. Candidates have to use the AEEE Email ID / Application Number and date of birth to access the AEEE admit card online on the official website.

There are no intructions regarding the type of print out needed at the exam hall of AEEE. Thus candidates can carry wither black and white or a coloured one. But, candidates must check the instructions on the admit card before printing it out. If the instructions mentions the type of print out needed then follow the same. Make sure the print is clear and all details are readable.

In case of errors in the details of AEEE admit card, candidates have to contact the AEEE authorities. AEEE 2026 result for phase 1 will be out in February 2026, tenatively. AEEE 2026 phase 1 and phase 2 results will be declared separately on the official website. Admission to BTech Programmes offered at Amrita School of Engineering is through and based on the rank scored in JEE Main and AEEE. 70% of the seats are allotted via AEEE scores and the rest of the 30% of seats are filled based on JEE Main ranks. A candidate can choose to apply either through AEEE or JEE Mains individually or even select both.

The candidates who have appeared for all phases of the AEEE exam must note that the best scores out of all the phases will be used for admission.  The authority also releases the All India Rank (AIR) along with the marks obtained in the entrance examination. No, candidates cannot request for revaluation or rechecking of AEEE result. A fully reliable system is being used for evaluation of answers marked by the candidates in AEEE CBT exam.
