GATE 2023 conducted successfully, says IIT Kanpur

The GATE result 2023 will be declared March 16. IIT Kanpur will release the GATE 2023 result online on the official website gate.iitk.ac.in.  

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur announced the successful completion of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 with the final session held on February 12, 2023.  

The examination was held on February 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2023 in eight sessions. The examination witnessed a good response with about 6.8 lakh candidates registering for it.  GATE 2023 was held in more than 500 centres across the country with an overall attendance of about 77 per cent. The attendance this year was better than last year’s edition. 

A spokesperson from the GATE 2023 organising committee said, “The examination was held smoothly in all sessions, except for a delay of about 1 to 1.5 hours in the last session in few centres due to a technical glitch. However, the examination went smoothly after the issue was resolved.” He said, All the affected candidates were given full three hours. Transportation to bus stands and railway stations was arranged for the candidates from some of these affected centres, and were also offered refreshments. Overall, it was a successful conduct of the examination.” 

The GATE 2023 exam was a computer-based test conducted for admission to MTech degrees at NIT, IIT, and other prestigious institutions. The GATE result 2023 date is March 16. IIT Kanpur will release the GATE 2023 result online on the official website gate.iitk.ac.in.
