IIT Bombay MTech Admission 2025 Registration

IIT Bombay MTech Admission 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is accepting MTech programme applications with late fee payment. Candidates with valid GATE scores can apply for IIT Bombay MTech admission 2025 with late fees till April 16.

Applicants applying under the Teaching Assistantship (TA), Teaching Assistantship through Project (TAP), Research Assistantship (RA), or Research Assistantship through Project (RAP) categories must register on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP), through which all IIT Bombay admission offers will be made.

How to apply for IIT Bombay MTech Admission 2025?

For Applicants with a Valid GATE Score (GATE 2023, 2024, or 2025):

  1. Click on the "Register" link.
  2. After registration, click on the "Login" link.
  3. Select "GATE Applicant" if you possess a valid GATE score.
  4. If you are eligible to apply for the M.Tech. programme at IIT Bombay, the registration form will appear.
  5. Enter your COAP ID.
  6. Fill in all details exactly as mentioned on your GATE scorecard.
  7. If you have multiple GATE scores, you can add them here. You will also have the option to add or remove scores at the application stage.

For Applicants Without a Valid GATE Score or IIT B.Tech. Graduates (Not Requiring GATE):

  1. Click on the "Register" link.
  2. After registration, click on the "Login" link.
  3. Select the "Non-GATE/IIT B.Tech" option.

Who are eligible for IIT Bombay MTech Admission 2025?

The eligibility criteria for admission to the MTech programmes at IIT Bombay are as follows:

  • Candidates must have a BTech or equivalent degree from a recognized institute.
  • They should have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale) in their qualifying degree.
    • Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/PwD) are required to have a minimum of 55% marks (or CGPA of 5.5).
  • Final-year students of the qualifying degree are also eligible to apply.

Candidates who have qualified as associate members of the following professional bodies are also eligible:

Institute of Chemical Engineers

Institution of Engineers (India)

Aeronautical Society of India

Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers

Indian Institute of Metals

Q:   What is the last date of filling the GATE 2025 Application form?

A:

GATE 2025 Registrations started on 28 August 2024. The last date for the GATE 2025 Registration has been extended to October 3, 2024 due to several requests from the applicants. Earlier, the last date of the application form was 26 September 2024 with regular fee. Candidates will be able to fill the GATE 2025 Application form with late fees till 11 October 2024 (extended). Q:   What is the selection criteria for admission to BSc at IIT Bombay?

A:
All the IIT aspirants have to sit for JEE Main and afterward, JEE Advanced. Only the top 2, 24,000 scores in JEE Main will become eligible to sit for JEE Advanced. The candidates must have secured at least 75% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th Class Examination conducted by respective boards. The Admissions into IIT Bombay is done through JoSAA on the basis of JEE Advanced scores.

Q:   How can I get admission in IIT Mumbai?

IIT Bombay admission to all the courses is entrance-based (Except for EMBA, where admission is merit-based and performance in the interview round). The IIT Bombay admission process includes the application process, selection round, cutoff, merit list or counselling and other steps. For BTech, candidates have to clear JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Further for other courses such as MTech, MBA, MSc, BDes, and MDes, aspirants need to clear GATE, CAT, IITJAM, UCEED, and CEED, respectively to qualify for further admission rounds.
