AEEE 2026 Dates: Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham has announced the complete schedule of the AEEE 2026 exam at amrita.edu. Amrita is conducting the phase 2 exam between April 24 and 30. After the exam, Amrita will release the AEEE 2026 phase 2 results in the first week of May.

Aspirants can now apply for Amrita BTech admission 2026 based on the score of JEE Mains 2026. Registrations via AEEE have ended. On this page, candidates can check the AEEE 2026 schedule for phase 1 and phase 2.

AEEE 2026 admit card: To download the AEEE 2026 admit card, candidates have to use their registered Email ID / Application Number and Date of Birth. Candidates must keep in mind that the admit card is not sent by post. In case of errors in the details of AEEE admit card, candidates have to contact the AEEE authorities. AEEE is usually rated moderate as compared to exams like JEE and BITSAT. However, the candidates must have class 11 and class 12 concepts clear as the questions in the exam come from class 11 and 12 syllabus. Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) is the computer-based entrance test held for 10+2 passed candidates for admission in BTech courses offered by Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham. Candidates must prepare well to crack the entrance exam.

Amrita University conducts the AEEE exam for Amrita BTech admissions. The exam date is announced online, and candidates need to book their exam slots as per their availability to appear for the computer-based test.

AEEE CBT has one paper of 300 marks. 100 MCQs are asked in the exam from Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English and Quantitative Aptitude. Each question carries 3 marks, and 1 mark is deducted against each wrong answer. The questions are based on the syllabus in Class 11th & Class 12th.  All the questions are of a Multiple-Choice type and have four options as possible answers.

Admission to BTech Programmes offered at Amrita School of Engineering is through and based on the rank scored in JEE Main and AEEE. 70% of the seats are allotted via AEEE scores and the rest of the 30% of seats are filled based on JEE Main ranks. A candidate can choose to apply either through AEEE or JEE Mains individually or even select both.

AEEE 2026 Phase 2 Result Date

The AEEE 2026 result is announced on the official website. The result of AEEE is released separately for all phases. Candidates who appear for more than one phase must note that their best score out of all the phases is considered for admission. The AEEE 2026 phase 2 result is expected to be out in the first week of May.

Q:   What is the passing marks in AEEE?

There is no such minimum marks criteria in AEEE. All the questions in AEEE are of Multiple-Choice type and have four options as possible answers. Candidates can choose the most appropriate answer for each question in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Answers marked can be changed later, before the final submission of all the answers. 3 (Three) marks are awarded for each correct answer and -1 (negative one) for each wrong answer.

AEEE 2026 Counselling Dates

Candidates with AEEE 2026 rank or JEE Mains 2026 Percentile Score or Rank have to register for CSAP 2026. AEEE 2026 Counselling is held for all AEEE qualified candidates, in order to get admission to the BTech programme offered at 8 campuses (Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Nagercoil, and Haridwar) of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

Q:   How much rank is needed to get a seat in Amrita University?
A: 

The seat will be based on the rank in AEEE exam. It will be based on the local and non-local also.It means that if you are from Kerala, Tamilnadu then you will come under locals. So,there will be more chance for locals even if they get high rank. They are given priority first. 

If you are from other state then you should get rank below 3000 confirmly, because there will be high competition.

For CSE branch in coimbatore you should get rank below 400 and you should get rank 1000 below so that you get CSE in all other branches.

Q:   What is the required rank in AEEE to get in Amrita Coimbatore?
A: 

To get admission in coimbatore it will be based on the branch. If you want to join in CSE in Amrita coimbatore then you should get 400 below rank for non locals and for locals the rank can be 700 below.

Locals means the residents of Kerala, Tamilnadu.They are given more preference.Non locals are given next preference.

For ECE branch you have to get 800 below and for other branches it is ok if you get 1500 below rank.

Q:   Will there be separate counselling process for phase 1 and phase 2 in AEEE?
A: 

No. There will be only one counselling session after the AEEE phase 2 exams are over. After the completion of AEEE phase 2 exams, Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham will conduct a single counselling session. Once the AEEE results for both phases 1 and 2 are declared, the CSAP 2026 dates and complete information will be published on the official website.

AEEE Registration Dates 2026

AEEE 2026 registration process is online only. All eligible candidates can apply for the AEEE exam online on the official website, aeee.amrita.edu. The AEEE application form for both phases has to be filled and submitted as per the application deadline. To register, candidates have to enter their name and contact details. The mobile numbers of the candidates are verified, and only after that can candidates complete the registration process. Candidates are advised to retain the registered mobile number and email they have submitted in the application form till all the admission procedures are completed, as all important updates will be informed to the candidates through SMS/e-mail or both.

Q:   When will the AEEE application form release?
A: 

The AEEE 2026 application form for phase 1 and phase 2 is out. Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form, and more than one application, i.e. multiple applications from a candidate, may get rejected. Candidates' names and their parents' names in the application form must exactly be the same as registered in the Class 12th/ equivalent qualifying Examination. Prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Fr/Dr/Mrs/Smt/Col etc. should not be used.  The candidates are advised not to send the hard copy of the online application to the university. However, the candidates are advised to retain a hard copy of the application, i.e. acknowledgement page, for future reference or correspondence.

AEEE 2026 Slot Booking Dates Phase 2

The AEEE slot booking 2026 window opens for a limited period and is done in real-time and on a first-come come first-served basis. The candidates who do not book the slots are assigned the slots randomly as per availability. If a candidate does not exercise their option, they are assigned a date/ slot as per the availability of the same. To book the Exam Date and Slot, registered candidates need to click the AEEE slot booking link provided on the University webpage as per the schedule.

The booked slots are then made available via the AEEE admit card 2026, according to which candidates have to visit the AEEE exam centre and appear for the AEEE CBT exam. Candidates have to carry the downloaded and printed copy of the AEEE admit card to the allotted exam centre.

AEEE is of 2.5 hours duration. The exam is held in CBT mode, and the candidates can leave the exam hall when the complete duration is over. There is 1 paper in the exam having 4 sections: Maths, Chemistry, Physics and English. The exam medium is English only.

Q:   Can I select my preferred exam date and time for AEEE exam?

Yes, you can. Candidates registered for AEEE 2025 shall select “DATE AND TIME” of their choice, SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY, by visiting the admission portal on or before the last date. This process is called “SLOT BOOKING.” Test Centre,  Number of days and Number of operating slots in a day will be finalised based on the number of candidates for a particular city. The allotment of date / slot will be on first come first serve basis. If a candidate does not exercise their option, they shall be assigned a date/ slot as per the availability of the same. To book the AEEE Exam Date and Slot,  registered candidates need to click the slot booking link provided in the portal after registration ends and as per the schedule mentioned on the official website.

Q:   Can I get a scholarship in Coimbatore campus for CSE branch? I have secured 892 rank in AEEE.
A: 
Hi, There is a chance for you. Keep your fingers crossed, but the chance of getting scholarship keeps on changing, based on the number of candidates opted at a particular location. As per note from the campus: Tuition fee waiver ranging from 90% to 25 % is awarded to the students, based on their rank at the time of admission counselling. Scholarship seats are earmarked in each branch in each campus. A total of 300+ candidates are eligible for scholarship at the time of admission and continuation of scholarship in subsequent years would require meeting the minimum required CGPA during subsequent years of study.

Exam will be held in 2 slots. Slot 1 from 9 am to 11:30 am, slot 2 from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm and slot 3 from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

Admission via AEEE is given in BTech courses offered at Amrita University campuses at Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Nagercoil, and Haridwar. Candidates can check the campuses that offer BTech specialisation that they are interested in on the official website. Not all campuses will offer all the specialisations. For example, the Coimbatore campus offers all specialisations except for Electronics & Computer Engineering. Similarly, exceptions are applicable in other campuses too.
