WBJEE 2026 Counselling Process
WBJEE 2026 counselling will be held online. To register, candidates will have to go to official website and log in using roll number and password. Once registered, candidates will have to pay required counselling fee of INR 500 through net banking/credit card/debit card. Offline fee payment will not be accepted. After payment, they will have to fill their choice of colleges and courses. Selection has to be done according to preference. Candidates should select as many choices as possible for higher chances of allotment into their preference.
WBJEE 2026 seat allotment result will be announced online. Seats will be allotted according to rank and preferences. Selected candidates will have to confirm their admission at their college by verifying their documents and paying tuition fee.
WBJEE 2026 Seat Acceptance Fee
Students will have to pay WBJEE 2026 seat acceptance fee of INR 5000 to confirm their admission. Fee has to be paid through net banking/credit card/debit card. WBJEE seat acceptance fee will be refundable if students withdraw their admission in second round. If they fail to meet refund criteria, then their seat acceptance fee will not be refunded.

WBJEE 2026 Counselling - Round 2
The second round of WBJEE 2026 counselling will be an upgradation round. Candidates who chose upgradation, or were not allotted in the first round will be eligible for the second round. New registrations or choice filling will not be accepted for the second round. Those who were allotted their first choice in the first round will also not be considered eligible for the second round. WBJEE 2026 Round 2 seat allotment result will be announced online. If the candidates are upgraded, then they can confirm their allotment. However, if they are not allotted their higher preference, then they will be able to go back to their previous allotment.

Students have to check the official WBJEE eligibility criteria to know if they eligible or not for the admission process. All students have to be of Indian nationality and should atleast 17 years old in the admission year. In the 12th standard qualifying exam, the students should have scored minimum 45% (40% for reserved category) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. They should have also individually passed in these subjects. At least 30 marks should have been scored in English.
WBJEE cutoff is released online. It is prepared after checking different exam and admission related factors. Some important factors that are considered to determine cutoff are entrance exam difficulty level, previous years' cutoff trends, number of seats for admission, total number of applicants and more.
Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in 10% approved seats offered by self financing colleges and institutes participating in state level counselling.
After the seats are allotted, students will have to pay seat acceptance fee of INR 5000 online to download allotment letter. Next, they will have to report to their respective college for document verification and tuition fee payment.
During second round of WBJEE counselling, candidates can go back to their previous allotment, if they are not allotted in their higher preference. If they are allotted higher preference, then their previous seat will be automatically cancelled.
