CGPSC 2025: The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) will release the CGPSC 2025 Mains result and interview dates soon on the official website for 2024 year. The CGPSC Mains exam 2025 was conducted on June 26, 2025 in two shifts. First shift was from 9 AM to 12 PM and Second Shift from 2 PM to 5 PM. The CGPSC 2025 Mains admit card for 2024 was released on the official website at psc.cg.gov.in. The Mains exam dates were June 26 to 29, 2025 for the year 2024. A total of 246 vacancies are announced for the recruitment of various posts in several Administrative Services and Police Services. The CGPSC 2024-25 Prelims exam was held on February 9, 2025, and the result was released on March 12, 2025.

The selection procedure consists of three stages namely Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination and Interview. What is CGPSC?

CGPSC stands for Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission. It is an independent agency of the state government that is responsible for recruiting eligible candidates for several administrative and civil service posts in Chhattisgarh. Every year, the CGPSC organizes the State Service Exam to fill positions including Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Commercial Tax Officer, etc. Candidates are selected based on their performance in the Prelims, Mains, and Interview.

CGPSC 2025 Exam Highlights

CGPSC is a state level examination that is conducted to recruit candidates for several administrative and police posts. According to the official website, under the re-organization of Madhya Pradesh, the State of Chhattisgarh came into existence on November 1, 2000. CGPSC was formed under the provision of Act 315 of the Constitution of India on May 23, 2001. The CGPSC conduct examinations for the appointments in the state.

CGPSC Result 2025

The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) released the prelims result on March 12, 2025, on the official website. Those candidates who cleared the prelims exam gave the mains exam. Along with the CGPSC result, the prelims cutoff for 2025 was also released at psc.cg.gov.in. A total of 3737 candidates qualified in the prelims examination. The CGPSC Prelims 2025 result will be released in the form of a PDF. Candidates who scored higher than the cut-off marks are eligible to appear for the Mains examination.

How to Check CGPS Prelims Result 2025?

  • Open the official website; psc.cg.gov.in
  • On the homepage, click on the 'Results" section
  • A new page appears on the screen, now, click the link that reads "Written exam result-state service (prelims) exam".
  • The CGPS Prelims Result PDF file will open on the screen
  • Search your roll number
  • Save it and download the result pdf for future reference

CGPSC Answer Key 2025

The authority releases the CGPSC Answer Key 2025 on the official website at psc.cg.gov.in. Candidates who appeared in the CGPSC SSE preliminary examination downloaded their answer key. If candidates found any discrepancies, they could raise objections against the provisional answer key up to a certain period of time. The CGPSC prelims exam was held on February 9, 2025. The preliminary provisional answer key was released on February 13, 2025. The last date to raise the objection was February 21, 2025, by paying a fee of INR 50 per question.

The Commission first releases a provisional answer key, followed by the final answer key after reviewing objections. Then candidates can raise objections only against the provisional answer key within the given timeframe.

Steps to Calculate marks using CGPSC Prelims Answer Key

Candidates can calculate their marks for the Prelims exam by using the CGPSC Answer Key by following the steps mentioned below:

  • Download the Answer Key of CGPSC
  • Verify the responses with those as mentioned in the answer key
  • For each correct answer, two marks will be awarded
  • For each wrong answer 1/3 marks of marks of correct answer will be deducted.

CGPSC Notification 2025

The recruitment for the CGPS is divided by the Commission into three stages, namely, Prelims, Mains, and Interview. Candidates will give an interview or personality test after clearing the prelims and mains exams. Candidates need to achieve the minimal CGPSC cutoff as imposed by the Commission. The authority released the CGPSC notification 2025 on November 26, 2024, on the official website at psc.cg.gov.in for the adv. no. 03/2024. A total of 246 vacancies were released in several Administrative Services and Police Services. The CGPSC notification was released in the form of a PDF as provided below also. The notification consists of the details regarding important dates, vacancies, eligibility criteria, the selection process, salary, and more. It is advised to the candidates to go through the detailed advertisement to ensure the eligibility for several state service posts.

CGPSC Application Form 2025

The Commission activated the CGPSC 2024-25 application link on December 1, 2024 on the official website. The last date to apply was December 30, 2024. Candidates can check below the steps to fill out the CGPSC application form online.

  • Visit the official website at psc.cg.gov.in.
  • On the homepage, click "CGPSC State Service Examination 2025 Application" link
  • Register by using email ID and mobile number. Note the login credentials for future reference.
  • Fill in the personal details by entering the name, date of birth, and other personal details.
  • Upload the documents including the scanned copies of photograph, signature and other required documents in the prescribed format.
  • Pay the application fee
  • Now, submit the application form
  • Download and take the printout for future reference

CGPSC 2025 Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay an application fee while submitting the CGPSC application form. Candidates who have domicile in Chhattisgarh or are residents of Chhattisgarh need not pay the application fee, but candidates residing outside the Chhattisgarh state have to pay INR 400. Candidates need to pay the application fee in an online mode through debit card, credit card, net banking, etc.

CGPSC Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates who want to apply for the CGPSC must be aware of the eligibility criteria or parameters in terms of educational qualification and age limit. If a candidate did not fulfill the eligibility criteria, then application forms will be rejected at any stage of the selection process.

Education Qualification

As per the official notification a candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification from any of the recognized Universities in India incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislatures in India or any educational institution established by an Act of Parliament or deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

Age Limit

The minimum age limit of the candidate is 21 years and the maximum age should not be more than 30 years to be eligible to apply for the CGPSC Exam 2025. The highest age for a candidate is 35 years for those who are born in or permanently live in Chhattisgarh.

Age Relaxation

As per the norms prescribed by the state government of Chhattisgarh, age relaxation is also extended to the different categories of students.

For those candidates who are applying for the post have a window on the first appointment

Such candidates will get an age relaxation up to five years

Candidates who have green cards with them under the program named Family Welfare

Candidates will get age relaxation maximum upto two years

Candidates who are working either as permanent or temporary employees of Chhattisgarh or the state government

These candidates get an age relaxation of 38 years

Candidates who have been involved in Military service for a minimum of 5 years

Such candidates get age relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years

Aspirants with disabilities

Such candidates get an age relaxation of up to 5 years

Candidates who are government servants and are retrenched

Candidates have an age relaxation of 3 years

If a potential candidates is of Indian descent and moved from Sri Lanka, Burma and East Pakistan

Such candidates get an age relaxation of a maximum of 3 years

If the applicant is the winning couple from the inter-caste marriage program supported by the tribal Harijan and backward class welfare department by the GAD memo

These candidates get an age relaxation of the maximum of 5 years

Those candidates who are a sportsperson and are awarded the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey award or Gunda Dhur, or a candidate recognised by Maharaja, Praveen Chandra Banda age Samaan or Rashtriya Yuva awarded as per GAD memo

These candidates get an age relaxation of a maximum of 5 years

Number of Attempts

The exam conducting authority has not mentioned about the limit on the number of attempts for the candidates to appear in the examination.

  • In each Question paper essential qualifying marks for unreserved category will be 33% and 23% for reserved categories.

Examination Nature: Question papers for Main Examination will be of Conventional nature i.e.: Short/Medium/Long answers Type.

Absence in any paper of Main Examination and Interview will be liable for disqualification.

Language: All the question papers except first -"Language" may be answered in Hindi or English chosen by the candidates. However a candidate will not be permitted to write part of the paper in Hindi and part of it in English.
