CGPSC 2025: Mains Exam Result (Soon), Answer Key, Cutoff, Analysis, Pattern, Syllabus, Vacancies & News

The Commission activated the CGPSC 2024-25 application link on December 1, 2024 on the official website. The last date to apply was December 30, 2024. Candidates can check below the steps to fill out the CGPSC application form online.

• Visit the official website at psc.cg.gov.in.
• On the homepage, click "CGPSC State Service Examination 2025 Application" link
• Register by using email ID and mobile number. Note the login credentials for future reference.
• Fill in the personal details by entering the name, date of birth, and other personal details.
• Upload the documents including the scanned copies of photograph, signature and other required documents in the prescribed format.
• Pay the application fee
• Now, submit the application form
• Download and take the printout for future reference

CGPSC 2025 Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay an application fee while submitting the CGPSC application form. Candidates who have domicile in Chhattisgarh or are residents of Chhattisgarh need not pay the application fee, but candidates residing outside the Chhattisgarh state have to pay INR 400. Candidates need to pay the application fee in an online mode through debit card, credit card, net banking, etc.

Candidates who want to apply for the CGPSC must be aware of the eligibility criteria or parameters in terms of educational qualification and age limit. If a candidate did not fulfill the eligibility criteria, then application forms will be rejected at any stage of the selection process.

Education Qualification

As per the official notification a candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification from any of the recognized Universities in India incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislatures in India or any educational institution established by an Act of Parliament or deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

Age Limit

The minimum age limit of the candidate is 21 years and the maximum age should not be more than 30 years to be eligible to apply for the CGPSC Exam 2025. The highest age for a candidate is 35 years for those who are born in or permanently live in Chhattisgarh.

Age Relaxation

As per the norms prescribed by the state government of Chhattisgarh, age relaxation is also extended to the different categories of students.

Candidates who have been involved in Military service for a minimum of 5 years	Such candidates get age relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years
Aspirants with disabilities	Such candidates get an age relaxation of up to 5 years
Candidates who are government servants and are retrenched	Candidates have an age relaxation of 3 years
If a potential candidates is of Indian descent and moved from Sri Lanka, Burma and East Pakistan	Such candidates get an age relaxation of a maximum of 3 years
If the applicant is the winning couple from the inter-caste marriage program supported by the tribal Harijan and backward class welfare department by the GAD memo	These candidates get an age relaxation of the maximum of 5 years
Those candidates who are a sportsperson and are awarded the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey award or Gunda Dhur, or a candidate recognised by Maharaja, Praveen Chandra Banda age Samaan or Rashtriya Yuva awarded as per GAD memo	These candidates get an age relaxation of a maximum of 5 years

Number of Attempts

The exam conducting authority has not mentioned about the limit on the number of attempts for the candidates to appear in the examination.

The candidates' selection for the State Administrative Service, State Police Service, and other posts is based on the candidates' performance in the preliminary and main examinations and the interview.

Preliminary Examination: (Objective Type)

• The preliminary exam consists of two compulsory papers of two hours' duration each.
• Both question papers are of the objective-type multiple choice.
• Four choices would be provided in the answers to each question, out of which one is to be selected by the candidate.
• There will be negative marking for wrong answers.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

• In each Question paper essential qualifying marks for unreserved category will be 33% and 23% for reserved categories.
• Second Question Paper - Eligibility Examination shall be of qualifying nature. Marks obtained in this question paper shall not be added while preparing merit list for short listing of candidates for Main Examination.
• Candidates shall be selected for Main Examination on the basis of merit list of First Question Paper - General Studies.

Examination Nature: Question papers for Main Examination will be of Conventional nature i.e.: Short/Medium/Long answers Type.

Absence in any paper of Main Examination and Interview will be liable for disqualification.

Language: All the question papers except first -"Language" may be answered in Hindi or English chosen by the candidates. However a candidate will not be permitted to write part of the paper in Hindi and part of it in English.

Paper-Wise Details

Paper-II Essay

In Essay paper, there will be two sections:

1. International and National level Issues
2. Chhattisgarh State issues

Candidates will be provided four options in each section and will have to write on two options from each section, the problem-solution (reason, present status including data and solution).

Word limit for essay is 750-750 words on the given subject.

Preliminary Examination Syllabus

• Duration: 2 Hours
• 50 questions will be asked from Part-1 and Part- 2 each.
• 2 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and for each wrong answer 1/3 marks of correct answer will be deducted.

Aptitude Test

·      Interpersonal skills including communication skills; ·      Logical reasoning and analytical ability ·      Decision making and problem solving ·      General mental ability ·      Basic numeracy (general mathematical skill) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency ·      etc. -Class X level) ·      Knowledge of Hindi Language (Class X level). ·      Knowledge of Chhattisgarhi Language. ·      Knowledge of Hindi Language and Chhattisgarhi Language will be tested in Hindi and Chhattisgarhi Language only, without providing translation.

The CGPSC vacancy was released along with the notification on the official website. A total of 246 vacancies were released. Most of the vacancies are for Excise Sub-Inspector, up to 90 posts.
